As a kid in France in the 90's, JPG was the only gay men that I knew of, he was my secret role model and still is today, though not secretly anymore. He opened doors to us in many many many ways, I'll always be forever grateful to him and cherish him! He's a national treasure !!

Many years ago we met in a bar in Barcelone by chance. We were talking about everthing under the sun. I didn't have the impression to talk to an icon, but to a very nice and down to earth man.

He's such an icon even if you're not especially interested in fashion! I like the way he talk about what he does and things like gender or skin colour. Btw his french accent and the few times he spoke french were so cute/fun to hear for me (I'm french) 😂

This man is such an inspiration for ANYONE that champions unique outlooks. There literally are no words for his talent for consistently serving 'visual calories' . I met him once in nyc when i still had my gallery in soho and he was so full of life and charming to the maximum. I loved this man's manner and humor. Bravo jean paul.

Hmmm... interesting. I had no knowledge of that history. A couple of years ago (or so), he was head of the judging panel for Miss France. My impression was that he was celebrated by the French.

Madonna forever. All these other desperate kids are literally playing catch up. When you look at Gaga, Beyonce, Kylie, Britney & Rihanna... Madonna did it all decades ago.
@louloutre6 жыл бұрын
Yes, and she did it better, but lately, she's destroying her own legacy. Kids see an old lady desperately trying to be relevant, embracing every teenage trend, behaving on social media like those parents who want to be cool and end up embarrassing their children. It's hard for the new generations to understand how that person spent several decades being a trendsetter.
@graphiquejack6 жыл бұрын
louloutre I think Madonna is doing now what she always has done her whole career... defy expectations and upend conventional thought. There have been a few women before her, most notably Cher, who have defied her age and ‘act too young’ but why shouldn’t a vibrant, creative, healthy and sexual woman do what she is doing in her fifties and soon to be sixties? She will always challenge taboos and what women are ‘supposed’ to do, and she is still creating good music. To me, she’s inspiring.

I've always kNown that I was watching all his works as I grew up. And was influenced by his creativity and work. It's just a shame that I can't really wear any of his stuff. He creates so much for all shapes of women but his men's collection doesn't go as far for men. Now he's going just couture I'll never have the chance. I guess I'll keep buying his fragrance tho lol been using it for 30yrs it's almost part of me
