Matilda I agree your French pronunciation is really good, cheers to you! Just as a bit of constructive criticism, you are pronouncing Jeanne as “Jean” the male version of the name. Hard to describe but Jeanne is slightly longer with a bit of a vowel difference. It’s a subtle nuance, and like I said your pronunciation is amazing. Just letting you know because I would want a native speaker to tell me if I was in your position! Also I loooove these videos! Xx

I watched that video Jeanne did as a guide to french pharmacies and instantly thought she was too cool for school. Love that look. Although I also think her lack of eyeliner has something to do with the fact that her eyelashes are super long and dark naturally...I would like to see Lupita Nyong'o and Alicia Vikander make up bags! Not sure there is a lot of info about their makeup out there. I would say Emma Watson, but into the gloss already did a pretty thorough job. :-)

I recently went to Paris and specifically went to a French pharmacy because of how much I hear about their amazing products. I bought the travel sized bioderma micellar water which I am currently loving and obsessing over, and the nuxe reve de miel lip balm in the pot, and I must say it is extremely hydrating, smooth, thick, and surprisingly matte when applied. It is without a doubt the best lip balm I’ve ever used, and I have been on a hunt for the perfect lip balm for a while now. The only lip treatment that rivals it would be the bite beauty agave lip mask, which recently saved my dry, peeling, and sunburnt (from that trip to Europe) lips overnight. Oh good on you, such an important career! Well done, you're nearly there! 👏🏼 I've honestly been so so happy with Hop and Cotton, I've been strict and stuck to the 3-step routine recently and within 2 weeks my skin had improved so much. Hormonal breakouts around my chin are my main issue and they've definitely been minimised and red marks have faded a lot. The texture of my skin elsewhere has always been good but it's SO nice now! I feel like this is the sort of rave review Glossier Solution has been getting haha (haven't tried that yet). I really do think it's worth the investment because one product doesn't suit all, so having something specific to you is great. The creator Ee Ting is lovely so if you have any questions, I'm sure she'd be happy to have a chat via the h+c instagram account. Hope that helps! x

Would it be bad if I told you I hardly ever throw anything out... haha a lot of people are very strict with expiry dates but I think if a product still looks ok and works well, I don't want to waste it! I also make sure I'm very hygienic with everything, i.e. no makeup sharing, always putting product lids back on, cleaning them etc x

Hello Matilda, I am a Mexican beauty lover but I have been living in Paris for the last 12 years, they have such a special taste for makeup, bold lipsticks and eyeliner. I was at & Other Stories store today and they launched a "natural beauty" line made in France, they have nail polish and a natural nail polish remover that smells really good. Angelina - beautiful patisserie, great rich hot chocolate Ladurée and Pierre Hérmé - the best macarons in the city Berthillon - nicest ice cream in Paris on Ile St-Louis SEE Place des Vosges - my favourite spot, a beautiful square in Le Marais L’Orangerie - lovely small gallery, home to Monet’s waterlilies Tuileries Garden - beautiful to walk through in all seasons! Rue St Honoré and Place Vendome - very pretty shopping street and square Palais Royal - beautiful courtyard and garden, great for photography St Germain des Prés - my favourite suburb to stay in and wander around, great people watching and celebrity spotting at the famous cafes Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore SHOP Galleries Lafayette - beautiful department store, famous glass dome Le Bon Marché - another great department store in St Germain St-Germain - the suburb with the best French pharmacies to stock up on skincare! City Pharma is very famous but so busy, so I also like Pharmacie de L’Epoque which is much smaller and quieter

Matilda I’m a huge fan of Bobbi’s bronzers because they mimic a true tan, my “ride or die” product is EXTRA Tinted SPF 20 Moisturizing Balm...a 3-in-1 product: skincare, SPF, and a nice hint of color, I’m crushing on Bobbi’s Crushed Lip Colors, and her Foundation Stick is the BEST! 😘 (I could go on and on...)

Trinny has created a genius way of getting your right shade online, it's called match2me, and it assess's everything from your hair, eye and skin color to create your own personalized stack of makeup products. It truly works and so far everyone I know haven't had any hiccups with it x
