Macfarlaine- yes. Some of the best tell funny stories- observational humour. Ricky Gervais. Dave Chappelle. Can imagine them as court jesters, brining welcome laughter to the mannered world of the court. Everyone needs to vent through laughter!

The punchline had me on the FLOOR! How funny! What I love the most about her stories are that they are so visual. Outside of the humor you can actually "see" what's going on in that room in your mind. Absolutely brilliant storyteller. What a legacy she's left.

I notice her comedy setup. She introduces the end of the joke, tells the story that goes with it, by the time she gets to the end of it you already forgot she already told you the subject. When she hits the punchline its still funny.

I am laughing so hard. Before my husband passed away he turned to my 10-year-old daughter and asked her if he could borrow her thongs to run the trash out. My 10-year-old daughter almost fell to the floor and told her dad, daddy I'm not old enough to wear a thong yet, and if I could I wouldn't want to let you borrow them. I was laughing so hard that I was incapable of explain to her that thongs in our day, meant flip flops!

From her site: "Leftbrain," or "LB" as Jeanne lovingly refers to him, is her husband Jerry. Jerry plays an active role in Jeanne's business when he is not playing golf, badminton, table tennis or tennis. He is in charge of areas such as the computer, finances, shipping books and tapes, picking up office supplies and other leftbrain tasks.

I'm from North Carolina also. I've spent 30 years in law enforcement and the stories you can get dealing with the public can be something else. I've actually had people tell me I needed to do comedy. LOL! Myself, I'm a container person. Shortly after my children and I first moved into this apartment, I woke up to find a bat hanging from the living ceiling (like they're supposed to). I woke my son (who never gets up before he has to) and got an empty plastic coffee container and told him to capture it and put it outside. After he stopped grumbling (he's hell before he has coffee) and got through the "why should I?" phase (because I'm too scared), he got out the step stool and managed to capture it and put it outside. Whew! Thanks for the memory.
