I’m so grateful we have all these videos of Jeanne. I was floored when I heard of her passing. Right after I watched her memorial service, crying my eyes out, I went to ‘Never Send A Man to the Grocery Store’. It was the first video of hers I ever saw, and I needed that laugh again. I’ve wondered if I could do stand up about life especially as were in the middle of a high growth of an aging population who didn’t grow up with computers or phones that I wonder if they are detachable at bedtime. Went to one of her shows. What a funny a classy lady. After the show even though she had to tired she very graciously greeted and had pictures taken with everybody who wanted one. She spent a good amount of time with a child with special needs that was in front of us, making sure this child was enjoying herself.

Jeannne, first let me apologize for the book I am writing, and second, thank you SO MUCH for giving me good clean humor when I need it most. Three weeks ago I found out that our little 5 week old grandson was blind. I don't really know why our daughter-in-law took him to the Ophthalmologist, but when he finished a long exam, he sat down and told her what he had found, he did his best to prepare her, and when she called me, every synapsis in my body froze in time as she told me the news. I wrote down everything she told me, and when I got home, not only did I pay a visit to "Dr.Google", I got out a few of my old Ophthalmology text books to learn more about the condition that he had been diagnosed with. We had hope that it could go away because it has happened, in fact, a friend who I hadn't seen in years sent me a message, told me that her grandson had the same thing, and one day when she was on the floor playing with him, (he was about 5 months old at the time), she noticed that his eyes were following the bright toy she was moving around. Long story short, he is now 11, is perfectly healthy, including his eyes. Between our daughter-in-law and myself, we have shared his story on various pages in facebook and in less than three days, we had at least 2,000 people praying over him. At their church, they had a special service to do something similar, and she texted me the week before to let us know that she thought he was following a light with his eyes. That was a glimmer of hope. Two days ago, she shared a video, first with family, then to the pages on facebook where people were praying for him. I got to watch video of him following a mobile as she held it and moved it slowly side to side. He most certainly did follow it and I was one hot mess of tears. I must have watched that brief video 50 times over 2 days. We are now thanking God and Jesus for his ability to see. We don't know if he will regain complete sight or not, but we have hope. When I need some good clean comedy, you are who I fall back on every time, so thank you for being who you are and sharing your stories because they have gotten me through some tough times, none of them as tough as this one.
