Apparently, there was some overlap because Jeannie and Freddy met that acquaintance at another's friends get together. Evidently, said acquaintance and Freddy would spend time together at friends and dated when Jeannie was working. Freddy's friends wife called Jeannie and told her. AND when you're BROKEN UP , you don't sleep in the same house, same bed, have marital privileges. He didn't bring up divorce until acquaintance got pregnant. Neither Jeannie nor Freddy wanted children when they first married. He then started pressing her to have a baby. If he wanted children their whole marriage, he married under false pretenses. She said she never would have married him had he been honest about wanting children. She didn't want him to give up being a dad just to be with her. Freddy stayed with Jeannie because he liked the lifestyle she provided. That's why they continued to live together while he messed around. He just didn't know Jeannie was documenting everything .
