Any plans to do the following like you do with boots? 1. Denim comparison or faceoff 2. Denim Care 101 3. Denim do's and don'ts? Like initial soak, cuffing, do you wear them for six months and then wash, etc
@Stridewise4 жыл бұрын
It's hard to denim comparisons since every company has a billion types of denim, but maybe if I got two brands with the same ounces, similar construction... Definitely planning on a '7 reasons why Japanese denim is so expensive' video soon, I do want to do a 'how to get the best fades' video and I'm trying to convince a company to give me some $700 jeans so I can do a WHY WOULD YOU PAY THIS video haha

Yo I bought the same jeans! The actual jeans were much darker blue than the pictures on the website.
@Stridewise4 жыл бұрын
I was pretty OK with the color! What did you think of the video, does it reflect your opinion?
@DubbleM9004 жыл бұрын
@@Stridewise I would say so, especially the stretch. First time buying Japanese jeans I bought these and a pair of Momotaros in my American size 36. The Tanukis stretched out in a day's wear while I couldn't even close the waist of the Momotaros so I returned those. I think the sizing on the Denimio site said the Momotaros were larger based on the measurements, oddly enough. Having put on some weight I'm closer to 40" now and the Tanukis stretched to match. I would definitely recommend anyone interested to just get the Tanukis in whatever your American jean size is. Washing may change that though I haven't gotten that far yet.

I’m curious, are you buying jeans with extra length for purpose folds or do you get just about the right length and fold it? I usually wear 32/32 with the length perfect my height I suppose (5’10). But looking at your jeans, it looks like I could wear 32/34 and just fold the length
@Stridewise Жыл бұрын
Oh I order them unhemmed in case I need to return them, then I sometimes don't get around to hemming them. I should have gotten these hemmed! I say if you *can* get them the right length (while they're still returnable/unaltered) then do it but if you like to cuff!

@themaster28519983 жыл бұрын
If you are into low rise jeans give them a try, they have nice discounts on their EU site as well. Quality was actually quite good for the price I've got them (ed-55 for 105€) but the rise was way too low for me so had to return them. Fortunately they covered the return shipping.
Did you use the fit guide? Because size 31 is a 33” waist.
@Stridewise4 жыл бұрын
Well when I got them I was a 33" or 34" waist. And the jeans also stretched a ton
@DubbleM9004 жыл бұрын
Yeah I got the same pair in 36 and they're almost 40" now.
@salsa834 жыл бұрын
Stridewise Size 32 according to the fit chart is 86cm or 33.86” at the waist. So you measured them at 34” at the waist so that means they didn’t stretch much at all. If you’re waist was 33-34” when you bought these jeans, then the correct size would have been 30-31. All denim stretches so the waist measurement of the jeans generally should be 1” smaller than what you are. For example my raw jeans vanity size 30, it measures 33” at the waist. I am a 34” waist and they stretched perfectly to fit me.

I wouldn’t recommend buying from Tanuki direct from the website. I contacted them to organise a return and they initially agreed to create a returns label to help. Then they ignored my emails. I ended up posting back at great expense. Very expensive lesson learned. They did offer a ‘gift’ on my next purchase. Hopefully they will refund the cost of the items minus the postage promptly.
