Jean, moving abroad to anywhere really does take a lot out of anyone, to be most and fully honest with you. It all is rather foreign, and involved. I would love to visit anywhere in Asia, at some time during the remainder of my life. I love the architecture, and ... the food of Asia. I could go on and on about my love of Asian cuisines. Visiting anywhere (in Asia) will be quite enough, and most satisfying. I adore Asian food and warmer weather, as well, just like you do, Jean.

Your husband’s editing is also improving at a similar pace. Very lovely to watch the growth and the choices you are making for your settings, how you start and finish a section, and the lighting of course. Your increased energy and smile for the presentation is very important and very effective. The three of us are quiet introverts as you say so that this has to be done intentionally. Every country has visa agreements in place. For example, Americans get 6 months in Mexico or Canada. That's a big incentive to travel to our neighbors. I was invited to visit Delhi, India in the summer of 2012. The visa app was a little bit of work and a little bit of money. They issue a 6-month visa that starts from the day it is issued. So if you time your app well with your trip, you can be there a long time. I met backpackers there who loved having that 6 months (5.8) in a big country. Three months is also a long time to be traveling in a smaller country. Concerning packing, I also have goofed with too much stuff when I was young, but was very happy with my packing for Japan's Jet Programme (2007-2010). In 2010, I returned with one massive suitcase and a box: did not mail anything home. I think they've lowered the weight limitations since then. Use cardboard boxes as the volume of these is much more than a thin suitcase. The airline will want to see packing straps on there put on by a machine. I did this at an airport once and at a post office once. The airline will crush your boxes but it doesn't matter with clothing, etc.

Hi Jean, I follow your videos with great interest. As a PR expatriate, I lived in Singapore for almost forty years. Right after the pandemic, when the borders reopened, I decided to leave Singapore in search of another location to retire. I've been wandering around for a while and am considering spending a few months in Bali and who knows staying there. The kind of villa where you live would be just ideal for me. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you if you can suggest areas in Bali where rents are cheaper than other highly touristy areas or if you know a local real estate agent I can get in touch with. I thank you in advance for your kindness. Regards Giovanni

Thank you soo much for the helpful tips on how to move abroad. I do have a few questions...how important is it to learn what ever language of the country that you are moving to? Do you need to know it before you move or can you "get by" with whatever language you speak and most folks will know and understand you? I am hoping to move to Thailand. I hate the cold and want to be close to the ocean after being land locked most of my life since I love the sea.

In major cities and tourist areas, enough people will speak English for you to get by. And when they don't, Google Translate is your friend. That said, it's polite and a well-received gesture to learn a few words and phrases, like yes, no, thank you, hello, etc.

Being able to relocate if needed is helpful. I ended up not being in the same place I originally intended. As a fellow Singaporean, I do have a few questions: 1) How do you maintain your Singpass account? My understanding is it has to be registered with SG's local number. My overseas Singaporean friends have a problem keeping it and find it a hassle. Just wondering how you do it (like, do you still have an SG mobile number?). 2) Do you still maintain any form of insurance in Singapore? like Life insurance and hospitalization insurance, just in case you need to come back to SG for treatment or sorts.
@rkq71122 жыл бұрын
Just keep your current Singapore registered SIM card or get a prepaid one that can be renewed every half a year or so for about $10 depending on the telcos to receive 2FA sms’s for all online transactions. Most would have roaming options. You’d have to have the number registered with the respective agencies first. You can always change the number online. I would also add that it’s a good practice to register with the respective Singapore or whichever country’s embassy or consulate in case of emergencies or just for consular updates. Many yearly travel insurances bought in Singapore offer six month validities overseas so if you’re not too far away just come back for a short visit every few months or so. Thanks Jean for a well-thought out summary and excellent presentation.
@JeanVoronkova2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anna, oh I haven’t had any problems maintaining my Singpass account ever but then I left SG from 10 years ago when they were still using those OTP generating tokens for log in? But i don’t hv a local number now in SG but it hasn’t ever become an issue. Yes I maintain SG hospitalisation policy so it’s an option to go home for treatment n coverage in event of smtg serious. Hope this helps!

you are alluring everyone to come and settle in Bali. i find many comments here saying they are leaving their country and going to stay in bali. A very dangerous phenomenon , you will soon make the world empty by filling Bali. this way very soon Indonesia will ban or curb tourists/visitors in bali

You always say Bali, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore. Bali is not a country but a province in Indonesia. So you should say Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore. Next,please pay attention to that, ok 👍🇲🇨❤️

Hi Jean, I have recently come across your vlog and am trying to see as many as I can and they are all extremely informative. Now the questions: My wife and are are planning to travel for 2 years starting in November 2022 to Bali, more cities in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, then to Italy, Spain, Turkey and finally to Lisbon Portugal ( maybe the final destination). Thinking about staying n each place for about 2-3 months to see where we can park our self for the following 20-40 years. What do you think and how much time should we allocate for Bali? Where to stay? wanted to be closer or on the beach with lots of street food and market close by. May I get you email address to discuss more? Thanks for sharing your experience in all vlogs and for the reply. Kind Regards Mohsan

Hi Moshan 👋, your travel itinerary are similar to mine in terms of the countries you wanted to travel to. I plan to travel & stay in each countries (especially SE Asia) at least for a month to get a feel and if possible pay for the 2 months Visa on arrival, if & when they offer it or extend it. Bali is an island so probably can get a feel / vibe in just a month, but 2 months I think you can pretty much decide the pros & cons. Some places / countries I still can’t go yet in SE Asia due to the vaccine regulation, so I’ll go to the ones that are open & suits my needs & current situation. With Europe & Schengen visa rules, I plan to stay 1.5 months each in Spain & Italy & get a digital nomad visa / permit to stay in EU / non-EU country but not within Schengen area like Georgia or Turkey like you mentioned. That way, after 180 days (for Schengen visa) I can go back in to visit other Mediterranean EU countries like Portugal, Southern France, etc. I do want to visit other non-EU surrounding countries while I’m on the digital nomad visa like Egypt, Morocco, etc, Central Asia, & also Latin America to get a feel of each places. Then decide which one I loves most to relocate by end of my travel trip. Best of luck 😇. I’m working towards getting more finance in order to support for the 2 years travel itinerary 🤞🙏

@@claravanholst2371 Hi, thank you for a quick reply. I do understand Schengen visa issue to stay for 90 days and leave for 90 days and come back. Currently we are thinking of staying three months in each country. As for Bali which location should I plan to stay for a month do a little site seeing in the island and spend the other 30 days in other parts of Indonesia. Please help identify the location closer to the beach and popular attractions. We are going to be moving around in taxi or people giving ride on scouter. Thanks

Always good to hear your thoughtful and logical analysis. I don't care about bullish or bearish market. Trade a small percentage of your portfolio rather than going in and out every couple weeks trying to time the market trading went smooth for me as I was able to raise over 8.4 BTC when I started at 3 BTC in just few weeks implementing Richard daily signals and tips..
