dude does this every week. Hes flown first class more than you can count, and on a flight less than half an hour where the only difference is a fatter seat who could care less about that seat. most people would actually prefer a whole row than a single first class seat

To me, I don't see much benefit of flying 1st class especially on regional flights. The only time I would consider 1st class/Business Class is international. Being cramped for 8-12 hours in economy is worth the upgrade.

Yea, I flew US Air once. I was going from Indiana to Amsterdam to be with my then girlfriend, who is now my wife with two kids. It was my second time going over, first was on a United 777 from ORD. This would have been 2002, and my flight route was TOL-PIT-PHI-AMS. It was cheaper than most, and I loved getting on 3 different planes (Embraer... 175?, Boeing 737, Boeing 777). Their service was okay, but I had a 4 hour delay in PHI due to toilets not working. They eventually found another plane.

Hi Jeb! I'm the guy who wrote to you last last year about your DL hub-hopping video being a lot less suspenseful than the UA one. This video wasn't as suspenseful, but I don't think it was trying to be. The best way to describe it is to say that it felt like a marathon rather than a sprint. Anyway, this was a great video as always! As for my personal experience with AA's hubs, I've been to DFW, MIA, CLT, and PHL. Unpopular opinion, but my favorite is CLT. Yes, it's crowded and Concourses B/C are cramped, but it's a really nice airport to be in otherwise IMHO.

I can walk into the airport, check my bag, go through security (no pre check) and get to my gate in 20 minutes or less. Super easy airport layout too, and the new E terminal is great! For Southwest, maybe try to see if there is information available that shows which airports Southwest rents the most gates at to consider those airports like a “hub.” Another idea would be to pick an airport in each time zone, like DCA, RDU, Memphis, Dallas, PHX, Denver and LA to do your hub hopping. Anyway looking forward to your next adventure!

One of the big reasons the Northeast is so challenging is that even when the issue is weather, or maintenance, the congested airspace means there are no shortcuts to be found, and speed restrictions are common to maintain spacing. DCA is like a breeze now, in and out. Once you’ve cleared centralize security you can roam most of the gates. Plus the distances are shorter when disembark to your luggage and then get a train, or Uber. With only a carryon you can get out of the airport in 5-10 mins.

Those A320s that started with America West Airlines back in the 1990s when they were growing so fast out of Phoenix Sky Harbor have sure had some very impressive service histories. And even though they’re old, a it’s fantastic that some of those America West airbuses are still around. They’re still quite reliable, plus they’re fully paid off.

I grew up 5 miles north of DFW, so every airport interaction I had for the first twenty some odd years of my life was just a big old loopy-loop trying to survive the roads through the airport (and they were always under construction). Getting through DFW in general, not for the faint of heart!

You could do a hub hopping video for Alaska Airlines. All on the west coast, but some short flights and a couple of longer ones. Another idea that might be interesting from a planning perspective, and possibly seeing some more out of the way places is seeing if you could travel from coast to coast and not booking a flight on Boeing or Airbus planes.

Absolutely love your hub hopping video series and please try WN "de-facto" hubs. One point of constructive criticism I really wish you would have included JFK as a red eye flight at the end.

Jeb- been watching this channel for about 7 years now. Started watching because my little brother enjoyed them, and now I just watch the uploads myself. Super relaxing for some reason! I fly for PSA Airlines these days (flying the PSA CRJ-700s and 900s) and I’m always hoping to see you hop onto my flight. Hasn’t happened yet, but seeing that 700 from PHL gave me a little hope😅 Maybe one of these days! Keep up the good work.

Maybe your next hub hopping will be on Alaska, to be a bit easier (ANC➡️SEA➡️PDX➡️SFO➡️LAX) after this one

In my airline operations class 3 and a half years ago my professor said Southwest has sifted from a focus city point to point to a hub and spoke airline. I completely agree because all the flights I have flown on Southwest you see tons of pink transfer tags on certain legs and lots of people having conversations about making connecting flights. Ever since 9/11 Southwest has shifted more and more to hub and spoke with a few point to point routes. 12 hubs 6 focus cities

Thank you for your great videos. I'm curious what you you think about AA CEO said no passengers want the tv screens since they have there own laptop, phones etc. So they took them out on domestic. Dl and UA are adding them. You should have a video about that.

Surely the absolute quickest version of this would've been a late night LAX -> PHX, then a redeye to the east coast and all the rest of the flights in one day, ending at ORD or DFW but I can understand why you didn't attempt that even more brutal schedule. Thank you for all of your great content!

My favorite hub is DFW Airport because the airport is so huge and you can walk and ride the train all you want. I also live in Dallas as well, which is another reason I like DFW. Great video!

I am a big fan of your hop hopping videos! I personally feel lucky living near Washington DC. Personally for me, I like Dulles more than Reagan, but Reagan is still a very easy airport, especially since they moved the Security check!

American is definitely my airline of choice when I fly into PHX. Granted, it’s always just a short flight from my home airport, SNA, but still it’s far more enjoyable than Southwest. Thanks for taking the time to make this great video.

I’ve only spent time in about half of those hubs and from my experience PHX and DFW are about equivalent, while ORD has always been bad in my experience. Good job, guys. This was an interesting and fun video.

Great videos! I’ve also done AA hub hopping as a non-rev last year. Route I have was DFW-LAX-PHX-MIA-TPA-CLT-PHL-DCA-LGA-ORD-HSV-DFW. Had to do TPA and HSV since no seats were available so need to be creative. Keep up the good videos!

Great hub hopping, with so many hubs I didn't even thought Jeb will need an overnight in DFW.. Anyway, this would be also cool in Canada with Air Canada, flying through (hub/large station) Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.

Looking forward to this for a long time. Next time you should do Southwest’s major hubs. I get that they have straight flights to everywhere, but some airport of theirs have more than others. I believe their “hubs” are Baltimore, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Oakland CA, Chicago MDW, Atlanta, and maybe one or two more.
@Gabetravelz

Kind of typed this before watching the video, but Southwest would be cool for one of these. Like you said, it’s hard to make a hub-hopping video on an airline that is strictly no-hubs but you could base off their focus cities. It could work and could be a fun watch.

Instead of doing a hub-hopping video for Southwest, you could do "A day on a single southwest plane", where you stay on one plane and follow it for its entire day, showing how many stops it makes and where. That would probably make more sense for Southwest's business model!

Terrific video! Wow, I don't think there's enough coffee in the world that would sustain me on all the flights you took. Amazing! I was on many flights when I was active duty Navy and Navy Reserves. So in March 2003, I had a two week annual Navy Reserve training in Honolulu Hawaii. I live in Wisconsin. In Minneapolis, my flight was delayed about one and a half hours. All I knew was that I wanted to get the hell out of Minneapolis. It was 7 above zero Fahrenheit. It was soooo cold. The flight out of Minneapolis was about eight hours to Hawaii. It was a really long flight, United flight. Coming back home, it was a red eye out of Hawaii to Minneapolis. It left at 11 PM out of Hawaii and got to Minneapolis about 7 AM. I was so tired. My connecting flight was about one and a half hours from Minneapolis to Wisconsin. I recall having a coffee and then instantly falling asleep to Wisconsin. I was just totally wiped out from jet lag. I never sleep on planes, so when I woke up on final approach, I was shocked. I was glad to be home, but not happy about the cold wet weather.
