Depending on the model/manufacturer the FN FAL is possibly the most expensive rifle there. An original preban FAL can be worth $5000 depending on where it is made and condition. I use to have a preban Belgian FAL. I regret ever selling it. Original Israeli and Belgian FALs command the best prices. If it is a kit then it can be worth as much as $ 1500 to $2000. PSA and a few others made kits for them once upon a time. The Marlin 45-70 is another valuable rifle if it from the 1980s. Remington 700s are nice hunting rifles if pre 2009. Remington got bought out and was crap for several years. Marlin and Ruger bought up much of Remington so now the rifles are back to being made with quality.

The FAL is a DSA SA58. Made in California using the original Steyr Mannlicher Puch tooling that made the STG 58 Austrian FAL. Nothing beats an Aussie Lithgow L1A1 though. Buying one from DSA that one would sell for about $1800.

The weapon you're referring to at approximately: 16:55 is the M1 Carbine a firearm developed late during the Second World War. It was a lighter mag-fed semi-automatic rifle that shot 20 rounds of 7.62. It was mostly used by American paratroopers because of its lightweight, and was used during the invasion of Normandy. The M1 Garand (The first old-timey rifle you pulled out in the tan/olive drab soft case labeled "U.S") was the primary firearm of the U.S. Army during the Second World War. It was also semi-automatic and it shot 8 round clips of 30-6. Anyway I know I'm a bit late but I hope that helps.

Not an m1 carbine it’s an m1A the semi auto version of an m14
@DanielLogan-s9n4 ай бұрын
Not only are you a bit late but you're quite confused as well. The other guy was right, That particular rifle was an M1A A civilian version of the M14. And you seem to thoroughly have the 2 mixed up. The M1A or M14 was in fact 20 round magazine of 762 NATO ammunition also known as .308 caliber. The M1 carbine however while it was used extensively by paratroopers during World War 2, was provided with 15 initially, later 30 round magazines with m2 select fire versions. And all of those were chambered for a 30 carbine cartridge. Something of an oversized pistol round.

I'm european and for me it's absolutly crasy ; here in my country, If I find weapons like those I'll call the police imedialtly without touching it. Here in Europe very few people die for a gun shot!! For example in my case I'm 72 years old and the only gun I have seen in my life it's the guns of the policmen, I never hold one in my hand; I'm not hunter and I never shot a firegun; I know we don't have: The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." But I feel much more safe. I can't understand pertubated mind can have thise arsenal in his house.
@DanielLogan-s9n4 ай бұрын
And that's exactly why most European countries get overrun attacked and occupied by foreign invaders so often. And then let us consider this my friend, For the past 100 plus years Europeans like yourself have relied on those United States gun owners to come over and rectify that situation For them, Since they couldn't do it for themselves. Though in point of fact I am glad you feel safe never having handle a gun, Might consider that the Price of your safety has been at least partially paid because of our second amendment however indirectly. And as long as you're Feeling obligated to cast aspersions Our way, You might consider the fact that those saying gun crazed Americans have Even before World War 2, provided not only military but also financial aid and other assistance to nearly every European country in existence And even those who have considered us enemies. So why don't you do your research and find out exactly If any of them have ever reciprocated, Or even so much I said thank you.
@BigFatCone4 ай бұрын
@@DanielLogan-s9n You do realise that before Russia invaded Ukraine, the last time a European country got invaded was during WW2, don't you? There's been some civil wars but no overrunning or occupation. And no, we don't rely on US gun owners for our safety. We do rely in part on US armed forces. But that's the military, not regular gun collectors or weapon aficionados. Said armed forces, and the fact that the Americas is literally an ocean away are the two largest factors in why no one attacks USA. The general public, armed or not, has nothing to do with it.

@@DanielLogan-s9nWhy don't you do your research on the way the United States undermined the United Kingdom and France after world war 2 the suez canal conflict is an example, and the assistance you talk of wasn't free with the exception of the Marshall plan to rebuild Germany for your "Help" in world war 2 to the united kingdom was finally paid off what the U.S charged it for it's assistance in 2006 and the U.S still occupies certain UK bases overseas Diego Garcia being one. I'm actually pro U.S and definitely respect and would support the constitution of the United States the irony of course that a Brit has more respect and places a greater belief in the constitution then many Americans now do. Being proud of one's country is only good if your able to see the whole picture not just the bits that feed an at times undeserved arrogance and false superiority complex, I used to be proud of the UK and it's past and while I still have some pride in it's history I no longer have any pride in what the UK has become.

Good find but I'd have to agree with you, don't think I'd be making much money on that because I'd keep most of it 😂. BTW that OEM tool in the cardboard tube is a 'Staightedge'. It's a auto mechanics tool for checking absolute straightness of a surface such as but not limited to a cylinder head or engine block for warpage. Probably about $50

The DSA SA58 was a nice find. DSA bough all the Steyer Mannlicher Puch tooling from Austria that used to be used to produce the STG58 battle rifle for the Austrian Army and make rifles with the tooling in California with them. They are not cheap at all. They are worth a lot. Basically 1/3 of your outlay in that one rifle. Also good to see your firearms safety knowledge has improved a bit since the old days, better than the previous owner who had multiple guns with chambered rounds in there. The M1A is worth a lot too. It is a reproduction of the M14 which is an evolution of the M1 Garand, in semi auto only though. Depending on the age the Model 700's could be worth a lot of money too. If one of them is older manufacture and in good shape it would be worth a lot. Not AK ammo at the end. It said 7.62x51. It goes in the SA58 and M1A. The ones in the enblock clips in the fabric bandallier are .30-06 for the M1 Garands.

I respect that he treats every weapon as if it’s loaded, but I am devastated by his lack of knowledge regarding both the tools and the firearms. The second he pulled out an SA-58 my jaw dropped. I’m not saying everyone needs to be a gun guy but I just wish this unit went to someone who could appreciate it more. You can tell that a hard working American man once owned that storage unit.

They have to rip through it to get a punchy video. I know for a fact they will go home and look up what they have and probably end up keeping a fair few.
@EddieRobertsRiverGypsy18 күн бұрын
They kept all the guns and ammo. Made 60k+ off the video. He stated that on here. He sells very few of the firearms they find. Collects. Profits come from the video and the tools and stuff they don't want.

Those 7.62x51 were not AK rounds, they are M14 and FAL rounds.

That’s crazy, if I was about to lose a unit, ain’t no way I’m leaving that stuff. With all those guns, you gotta know when your going to default. There’s no way you simply forget about that unit. Wish I knew the story behind it, but I actually feel bad for this person, but congrats for getting it. Really is a dream buy

Depending on historical context, condition, and correctness (matching cartouches) that M1 Garand may have covered the cost of the unit. The M1A is also a pretty expensive rifle depending on the version. Overall I’d say you guys did great! Love the content and channel you guys ❤

M1A was in the proper case. Believe it's actually the M1A M21 (.308) which has been discontinued. It's worth between 1500 and 2500.

@@seangleason7386 could have been a “Standard” but most likely was a “Match”. The “Loaded” version usually has a polymer stock. The case is the regular case they all come in- mine came in the exact same case and I have the “Scout/Squad” version.

I love this video manly for your gun safety. I love watching people who actually know how to handle a firearm and know their information instead of these people getting excited just cause it’s a pew pew. Many people would have seen those guns and started waving them around loaded. Not to mention bad gun storage fit the previous owner. Leaving guns loaded with a round in the chamber. That’s just asking for a mistake
