That's exactly what I said. Luke P might have made some mistakes but at least he was there for a wife and he never specifically said he wanted to control Hannah. But what Jed did was completely wrong cheating on her the entire relationship. I just wish Demi and Katie found that out night one just like they did with Scott. Send both of them home . And I don't why he was mad Luke P for the drama. He's a mess himself no wonder Jed's family was giving Hannah red flags about marriage. It's safe to say that they both got humiliated on television for a reason.

Chris Noziere I want to say a few things about Luke that I dislike for the most part. For the most part he was more of narcissist especially during the final rose ceremony where he could not accept the word NO. However the only good thing was that at least he was single. I watched the entire season. Hannah was very insecure trying to find herself, discover who she is all trying to find love. With that being said, Tyler was very mature and challenged her to reach her potential. She was not ready for Tyler. Jed was safe, he did not support her to be her best. Also, she picked Jed to proved her Dad was wrong. We know sometimes parents have wisdom and see things we cannot. Hannah made her mistakes, lessons learned. Move on

I implore you to go to his instagram and watch the video of him playing the piano and singing. It's truly MUUUCH better than anything he did on the guitar and I think e should have stuck with that the entire time. I guess I'm just tired of people saying his music isn't good. Like, there are so many other things you could be mean to him about and it's as if people were saying Luke P., I don't know, didn't have blonde hair. I think I want people to find something else to hate on him for because this just seems gross. Or if you are going to hate on him for it, just do yourself a favor and make sure what you are saying is even true. I'm not necessarily TRYING TO GIVE HIM PUBLICITY but I think if anyone goes and finds a video of him singing at his piano they'll realize "Oh sh*t, he's not bad." and then maybe you can actually critique him for some of the horrible things he's done, rather than his career that he's pursuing. It's as if one of the guys on the season were a writer, or a visual artist, and he were hated and people just couldn't stop saying how bad his paintings and pastels were. Like, we get it. He's still human. He DOES see some of this stuff. It's easy to say this when you're behind a computer to get it off your chest and feel as though you've gotten revenge or are satisfied, but it can affect someone. That may not have fully answered the question but that's kind of why. Just direct your anger at something worth directing at, not what the guy loves to do. Maybe I'm too kind, I don't know.

I know we all feel bad for Hannah but I take comfort in the fact that Jed's plan backfired on him as well. He came on the show wanting exposure for his music but ended up turning off the audience with his music. I don't think I read any comments where people thought he actually has a good voice LOL! So I doubt his music would have taken off anyway. What's worse is that after the scandal broke, people were then turned off by his lack of character. The only way out of his lie would have been for him to eliminate himself from the competition before hometowns but no, he was more concerned about 'winning' the show as if he was the star and robbing Hannah of better partners like Peter and Tyler. He was such a smooth manipulator of Hannah and I think this is why he disliked Luke P because he realised that they were similar but poor Hannah was blind to Jed's tricks and gimmicks. In my opinion, Jed rarely looked happy around Hannah. His expressions, body language and speech were always off to me. But Hannah fell for his singing as romantic and the other guys saying he was genuine so she ignored how he behaved in her presence, not realising she had better and real connections with Peter and Tyler.... So sad.

Ever since I started watching this season I never liked Jed for Hanna or as a person, I just couldn't put a finger on what was wrong with him, when the people's magazine article came out, it just made sense to me. I think Luke P. Messed up her journey big time too because she couldn't develop her other relationships as she was all the time focusing on Luke's P drama, so she couldn't really see the character of the frontrunners. It is so sad to see a person so beautiful as Hanna inside and out, not having the outcome she deserved. I was rooting so hard for Tyler and her all the time❤ I hope they can get their second chance

I don't understand why anyone is surprised by this. This franchise is not so much about finding love, but more about becoming a celebrity. Over the years, ABC have totally turned this show into a career path for anyone who craves the limelight. Any contestant who doesn't make it to the very end still has the chance of grabbing more limelight by appearing in Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise, the Bachelor Olympics or whatever’s next, as Chris Harrison mentioned a new show being hosted by Ben Higgins. There’s also the possibility of being selected as the next principal, which is no doubt a bigger incentive than being handed the final rose. The principal and their "winner" (to quote Jed) then have the chance to go on Dancing With the Stars, appear on every network morning program and chat show out there, possibly "star" in a spin-off series about their new life together and on the rare occasions where the series does actually lead to marriage, ABC pays for and televises the uber extravagant wedding. More limelight. And there’s also the possibility of full time employment as hosts on various celebrity news programs. At the very least, every contestant gets to live in that beautiful mansion, go on fantastic dates that would never happen in real life, travel to somewhere else in the US and then of course experience the fantastic international travel to numerous countries. Staying in the best hotels throughout “the journey”. Should they make it to the final 3, another passport stamp to yet another exotic locale for the fantasy suite date. Definitely worth sticking around for, even if you’re not particularly attracted to the principal!! We all saw Jed desperately trying to get sent home during his fantasy suite date by complaining about Luke - an action which had eliminated several other guys. By that stage he had achieved his goal - maximum “exposure” while enjoying the high life for a couple of months. All he would miss out on would be performing one final song while proposing to Hannah, but small price to pay for the freedom to run back to his girlfriend without all his deceit ever coming to light. And he almost got away with it because no doubt he never expected to “win”. If ABC truly wanted this show to be about finding a spouse, it would be a totally different format. It would never leave the mansion except for local dates and the hometown visits. The fantasy suites would be somewhere nearby. Any contestant selected for a one on one date would have to plan the day’s activities themselves, albeit paid for by ABC. And there would be no bungee jumping, high diving and other risky activities - this is not Fear Factor. The principal for the next series would never be someone from a previous series - there are enough applicants to choose someone new, which would prevent those who go on the show in the hope of being the next principal rather than finding love on the current series. Same goes for Bachelor in Paradise - they would use other applicants. In other words, this show would not be a career path to celebrity. But, that wouldn’t make for good television, would it? Which is why it is what it is and nobody should be surprised about Jed’s real intentions.

Thanks for sharing this interview. We all make mistakes. Jed went on the show to promote his music career, & made mistakes ... But let face it, most of the people go on those shows in an effort to gain fame & fortune. This is why the majority of the engagements never lead to marriage. They constantly fail ... Jed was honest early on & told Hannah that his appearance on the show was for his music career; she even saw that his parents did not approve; yet Hannah chose him, regardless. Why??? She was not going to marry Jed... This why she slept with Peter 4 times, bragged about it in front his parents & the world, & did not choose Peter or Tyler ... Hannah was only looking for fame & fortune, herself... Tyler should run from this messiness & become # 1 for someone else... Jed will recover & perhaps find work as a model or actor ... He should just "keep it real" & "keep it clean." Best Wishes!

There are a lot of negative comments on here but I feel differently. I believe Jed was sincere. I believe he was honest. He made mistakes but he said he was sorry more than once. It is your choice to forgive him or not.

This is just a great example of not giving a damn about other people's feelings. Empathy is not his forte... 'Iii was scared about losing her', 'Iiii ended it in my heart, but not verbally', a lot of Iiiii and not so much, hey, how can what I do make the women I say I love feel... Scared of being a decent human being much?

@d3blh01 Jed came from a position of pure SELFISHNESS playing for two women's feelings to help line his pocketbook in the future. If you call THAT sincerity and honesty, wow, do you have a lot of life learning to do. The fact that he apologized was done only because he got caught. We all make mistakes but how many of us are doing it on nationsl tv?!! Jed thought nobody will know in the long run except the ex that got dumped and his family. Good for the ex to call Jed out on his actions. Maybe other guys will think twice before they pull shenigans with a woman.
