I found that industrial strength Velcro works better and is easier to take on and off than mechanical fasteners for holding one Jedi belt up.

"...it makes it less accessible to people...anyone can squeeze out glue'". Brilliant mindset. My other tutorial videos: "First get a complete machine shop & wood working set...". Keep up the fantastic work

Very cool. Loved it in the fan film too. A spray bottle with water works well for wetting the leather for forming, embossing and carving the leather. Greta job on the build!

Thanks for this! I like the use of rivets to hold the smaller belt on. I'm a bit on the round side so a longer belt is something I will need. This turned out very cool.

I find your tutorials to be just awesome!!! I made my own jedi robes following your instructions in the weathering of jedi robes and they came out looking just as cool as the canon or screen edition robes. The belt is my next step but yup i appreciate you showing the rest of us how to make our costumes amd robes unique. Once again thank you!! And may the Force be with you!! Lol

Looks great! I am going to make one for myself and one for my husband, and I love your idea of distressing the leather, because the Jedi were workers! They did not lounge around polishing their leather 😂

Another belter! Pun intended 😋I recently bought a couple of brown leather belts and a large brown leather ladies' handbag from charity shoos for when I try my hand at making holsters for the blasters I've made. My fave one, built out of a Mauser 96 BB gun, greebles and plumbing parts etc, I call "The Smuggler Blaster". A friend reckons Han Solo would be proud 😋 Another enjoyable and informative video, Anthony 👏

An idea with the buckle is to heat the ends of the filament to mushroom the ends so that it actually hinges.

Nailed it a again! Well done! Hell ya, that mink oil is magic on leather. I wouldn't call it mix and match though. I think every Jedi had their own layout per say, it was kind of the Jedi version of the EDC. Everything they needed daily kind of thing. That's what I take from it but then again I could be completely wrong. lol

Wouldn't a clasp be a better choice than a magnet if you're putting your cell phone in that pouch? Magnets and electronics tend not to combine well...

ohhhh.. i have made that mistake.. when you double layer thick material ..like leather ..big belt with strip on top.. before you drill holes and fasten it permanently... DO NOT DO IT FLAT!! on the table... measure the holes to line up WEARING it.. When rounded while wearing .. the inside or outside will be too long or too short ..enough the look weird untill its worn so much the shortest strap will have stretched.... but that can take a long time like with good boots... So put on the under belt to try out ..then line up the top middle strap.. then mark the holes .. then drill and fasten... it will look too long por short when hanging straight from a hook .. but be perfect when wearing.. NICE BELT!! thanks i really enjoy the vids

Thank you for this video! Can you sew through E6000 glue or does it dry too hard? I'm trying to learn how to sew and do leatherworking. I have a belt that I like (something I got on clearance) but it needs modifications. I also plan to make my own boots (since I can never find ones that fit). Do you have the link to your video where you made the lightsaber? (my internet is being uncooperative on searching right now).
