I remember hating Jedward when the X Factor 2009 aired. I feel terrible about it because the footage of them was edited to make them look bad when in reality they are lovely and wholesome guys. They were dragged after the show as well. I remember they were on 8 out of 10 cats and they were being bullied the entire time. Young artists, please take a deep dive into the evil lurking in the music industry before it sucks you in and abuses you. Anyone that is "famous" had endured extreme abuse in exchange for the fame and money. No artist needs to go through the evil revolving door to have their talent heard. Social media can replace corrupt media companies. If you are truly looking for fame and fortune, you have walk with the devil and hand over your soul. Them not being allowed to talk bad about Simon Cowell makes so much sense in hindsight. He developed a reputation of being a prick through his own actions, but has people constantly saying “oh, I like him though, he’s just honest”. @tekodoraudor well, i doubt that'll ever happen. You see, when someone in the showbiz starts to attract too much negative attention, when people start to wake up and expose the truth about it, those people tend to end up "suicided", if you know what i mean. Then things settle down, people forget until the next tv show and it starts all over again. There's always been some Simon Cowell in past history, there's some now and there will be more in the future, what we don't have is a cohesive society that says NO and stick together to end that vicious circle of madness.

X Factor came to the US in 2011. It’s seems Simon was the same in the US as he was in the UK but in 2012 they changed 2 of the judges. I remember that this one contestant came on and she was very nervous and almost crying and then that contestant bonded with one of the coaches and they showed Simon’s face when the subject of bullying came up. Simon wanted to say something mean to the contestant but then he looked over at the other judges and saw one judge that was so angry and Simon looked at the other judge again and saw their face and he said nothing. Then the contestant sings her song cries the whole way through….turns out the song she sang belonged to the judge she connected with they hugged the contestant got voted through and as far as I know Simon was this sickening sweet guy for the rest of that season (which was season2) and then it was the same judges for 2013 and then that was it the show didn’t do well in the US so Simon supposedly said but I seriously believe that that one particular judge kept him in line and I think Simon cancelled the show to go back to the UK so he could go back to being a jerk

I started breaking into the music scene and backed out because I saw what it really is. Almost no famous artist is the same person in public as behind closed doors, everything is an act. They have you sing to one instrumental track yet cut your voice to pieces and place it onto a different track you didn't write lyrics for etc. Have other professional musicians come in to play your instruments on the track in studio half the time so what you hear ok the studio track isn't even the musician you think. It's pretty bizarre honestly. If you truly love music, just stick w local gigs unless you get some dream opportunity over creative control in a contract or have the funds to do it alllll yourself to get off the ground. If you are willing to sell your soul and be a puppet then sign a big contract, otherwise...nope nope nope.

Like in Bachelorette/Bachelor they push people to talk about dead relatives/ex's and make footages to make someone look bad. Entertainment. It is not only one show, it's most of them. Idol is not a safe show too, there too have been some eye-opening moments etc. Even the Ellen show did not know about toxic producers until Nikki (Tutorials) opened up about the cold behavior from everyone.

I believe here in Germany NDAs don't have that power since they are not legally recognized at least not when things that are illegal get silenced by then. But they still have much power when the victim can't proof anything. I can't imagine how powerful they are in countries where there are no such legal regulations.

If Syco take the lads to court over the NDA, they will probably get the case thrown out of they can prove its been written to force them to hide any unreasonable abuse by the company/management. ITV should also be brought into the mix if it's true and question their contracts with Syco and their programmes.

Rebecca Ferguson has pointed out that NDAs don’t stand up in criminal court so if there was a way to get criminal charges against Cowell and Syco then everyone who’s signed one would be free to speak out as witnesses.

It is not just the X Factor. All of these shows have hands-off judges/coaches/mentors but play it off as though they are integrally involved in molding contestants. How does anyone buy that Blake Shelton and Adam Levine managed for years to have thriving music careers of their own when they were supposedly week in week out coaching contestants?

I‘m never going to watch X factor again. I‘m kind of disgusted... Greetings from Austria👋🏻

This sounds just like the situation in the US with child stars
