I did almost the same thing in my jku. Instead of the extra plate, I just cut the ears, or the curled ends off the superstrut and bent it to fit. Also they make a spring nut that goes inside of the superstrut and locks in place....I love that stuff, so versatile.

I might have used a VHF/UHF radio if it was me. But I guess you have your reasons for choosing a CB :)

Definitely using your design this weekend on my new Mojave. Thanks for the help. What's the best way to run coax and power feed? I have an idea but if you have a better way I'm all for it.

I ran the power along the top of the windshield and down by the passengers legs. For the antenna, I went across the top of the windshield and down to the conner of the A piller. If you fold your windshield forward like all jeeps have you can run the cable through and open area underneath. This is how I did it for a front antenna. Back antenna I ran the top of my windshield down the drivers side to the floorboards. Then back to the vent behind the rear seats and out to the top.

@@PreparedAirman Nice! I appreciate the help. This is my first Jeep and it's definitely a bit different from a regular pickup.

one last question, you mentioned you cut the brackets to size, what size were they before you cut them? I went looking at the big orange home improvement store and was a bit lost! Thank you, sorry for the questions but I really wanted to build one of these this coming weekend.

@@PreparedAirmanany chance you still have the measurements for the bracket arms, etc?

Do you happen to have the size of the bolts you used to go down through the roll bar. Nice job BTW. I was hoping someone did something like this. $120 for a bar and a few bits is pretty steep.

I used 2 1/2" half threaded bolts with a fender washer on top and bottom.

No, they are still fully removable with no issues.
