How to rebuild a Garrett 2056 Turbo (GT2056V) off of a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD. These jeeps are equipped with the OM642 Diesel Engine. They are a Mercedes engine and can be found in many of their vehicles. This will also be helpful if your having issues with diagnosing a faulty turbo. You can see how to remove the actuator and once removed you can move the arm to see if your veins are moving freely or are sticking and gummed up with carbon.

every time i rebuild the 2056vk turbo, the only thing worn out are the two metal seals on the exhaust side of the impeller. the actual bearing/bushing, o rings, metal seals on the cool side impeller, etc... are all basically new. I still replace everything with the kit though. One turbo with 270k miles on it was leaking so much oil into the exhaust from the two metal seals. they were so worn out, but the actual impeller bearing had no slop at all.

What are you using to electronically turn off the egr? I am assuming a tune if so what company? I use Green Diesel and I am pretty sure they did that for me and I want to do bvb the same delete it completely
