Jeep Commander Gets New Headlights And Grill Mod!!

I really like your rocker panel mod also. I'm going with a custom chrome and dipping it.really expensive splurge but my doors are dinged up at the bottom and don't want to paint liner. Plasti dip wouldnt look good with the satin finish. I'm painting my trims black with herculiner. I dipped them but they were too plain.

I would be worried about adding weight to the wheels with the herculiner. I think it will add a lot of vibration. Just get them painted instead. That way you can get them exactly the way you want them without the added weight. Thanks for watching.

Question on the lettering. The company that sells the lettering offers the "Sport Black" lettering option and wanted to know why you didn't order that first instead of painting them. Was it an afterthought, or did you want the lettering done with the same paint as the grill so it matched? Great videos on the Commander!

At the time, I don't think they were available in black and if they were I probably would have painted they anyway because I wanted them gunmetal grey to match the other accents on the XK. Dude the tank looks so sick!! Those new lights look fresh and.taking off the "inner" grill made such a huge improvement but did you consider sticking a fresh XDD decal on that freshly sprayed air box behind the grill, no doubt sooner or later someone will peek in there and that way there'll be a sick XDD badge on this bad boy!

We bought my wife an 08 Overland back in 2010, and honestly its been a great vehicle. 120k miles on it now and its only had very minor things go south. I love that you're knee deep in modding it, you've done a great job and it looks fantastic!

Got a 2007 Commander from my boss Friday for an embarrassingly good deal. I don’t see many aftermarket parts for it though. This is my third Jeep. I still have a 96 Cherokee sport with manual windows my kids hate. It’s my all time favorite car. Your Commander is looking good!!

Quick tip (if you haven’t already figure this out) there’s this orange air freshener spray that you could by at Walmart, it could literally wipe away plasti dip with such ease. I swear I painted my commander red and used this to take it off and you couldn’t even tell I used red plasti dip .

I made I recent change to my suspension (I made a video on it) and I'm now at 3 inches in the front and 4 in the rear. I'm now running 33 inch tires and my wheels are 17x8.5 +0 (I did a video on it). Thanks for watching.

Looking awesome man! I have the same aftermarket headlight housings on my Jeep and I love the look they give. I have also been thinking about plasti dipping my grill but I'm on the fence about it because the Jeep is black so it might be too much.

It's not glass. They haven't make glass headlights since the early 90's. And headlights won't fade if you wax and protect them. Thanks for watching!

The reason I didn't go with HIDs is because I was worried with how well they would work with the DRL's I have the DRL's active and I love them so I didn't want to lose them. Thanks for watching!
