I never would of thought about putting a skid plate on my rear diff.... Yep need one now after watching this.
@AutoEdits3 жыл бұрын
Sorry not sorry... lol It was as simple as that last "test and tune" video I clanked that thing like 3 times on easy stuff and thought to just add a bit of confidence to that component since I'm keeping it for a while longer. I was planning on upgrading that thing by now but Pinto the Dog needed an expensive surgery and that changed a few things around here. Life happens.

This is a great skid. I have it on my jeep, and it's taken a beating for me... Design wise, the only thing I wish MC had done was to extend the lip to give some more protection to the pinion and seals area. I ended up having a semi circle tubing lip welded onto the MC skid after taking some pyramidal granite hits in that area.

@AutoEdits3 жыл бұрын
That's not rude at all but thanks for trying to stay cool! I had a really tough G2 diff cover and was still able to grind it enough on rocks that it leaked like crazy so this will help for a more hard core use situation.

@@AutoEdits Never knew you had leaks, I was planning on picking up that G2 Brute diff cover. Looks pretty cool and has features that are useful.
@AutoEdits3 жыл бұрын
It did look great. My honest complaint would be the mounting hardware is noticeably cheap... the leaking was my fault. You drag metal (that one was aluminum) on rocks enough... it's gonna leak. I was also still using RTV instead of the lube locker... that would've helped.
