Hi greetings… how the product holding up till now ??
@TerraOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Hi there! The product has been exceptional. After a couple of years of daily use, it still works as if it was brand new. This is a modification that was kind of a random purchase of opportunity--I never knew I needed one until I bought it. It's one of my favorite functions of the Jeep now.

@avinashkav7258 75% extension, 1,000 pound capacity. Cargo Glide part number: CG1000-5842. It was advertised as being for the new Ford Ranger, but also said it would fit 5ft truck beds and it worked great. I'm unsure if Cargo Glide has released a Gladiator-specific version since I made my purchase, but I would still confidently recommend this part number if not.

is the slide made out of plywood?
@TerraOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Negative, the entire surround is metal. Aluminum, I believe. I was put off by the plywood at first, but it's honestly pretty beefy. It hasn't let me down since installing, and I use it almost daily.
@DgGh0stKilla Жыл бұрын
@@TerraOutdoors so the deck being mad out plywood would prob not hold well an additional fridge slide! How did you attach your fridge so it wouldn’t move?
@TerraOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@DgGh0stKilla So, I have a fridge slide for my fridge, and I've seen it done, but I opted not to use it. Mine is beefy enough (95 qt) that it doesn't even really need anchored. It takes up pretty much the entire left side of my bed, so it doesn't need to compete for space really. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to use it on this deck if I needed to.

Great video. After 3 years, how's it holding up? Are you still happy with it?
@TerraOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Appreciate it! I like it a lot. It has been used and you can tell, but the deck is still holding up very well and hasnt worn through anywhere. No signs of stress/damage anywhere. It adds a lot of value and utility to the bed, I think. You do lose a little bit of vertical space, but being able to slide out my fridge, my sleeping gear, my kitchen, my spare clothes, my lantern, etc., all at once, is very handy vs. just a fridge slide. I wouldn't change my choice!
@trail_tracker2 жыл бұрын
How much height do you lose on this? Seems like about 3-4"?
@TerraOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'd say that's a good estimate. I measured it right after I did it. I think it was around 3 inches to the deck, and 5 inches to the tops of the rails, give or take.

What are the interior dimensions of the deck? I'm looking at getting one of Roams 160L cases to strap down to this for additional tools and such on trips and I want to be sure it would fit

Awesome 👌 Install. Could you please run a follow up on this. What kind of noise, rattle, operation, etc. Plan on getting one for my Gladiator as well. Tbx...
@TerraOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking it out! I tried to keep it short and sweet. I'll for sure have a longer term review once I get it out on a trip and get it loaded up. For right now though, when it is fully stowed, there is zero noise, shake, or rattle. I can grab it and physically shake it and not hear anything. I'm actually quite impressed. When extended, there is some give to it side to side, because the locking pin is only on the left side. I wish it had two locking pins, but it is still plenty solid in my opinion. Operation is very smooth so far. During install, I was kneeling on the slide itself, and was able to reach out, undo the latch, and slide myself out with one hand so that I could climb out of the bed. All in all, very impressed so far for this being their entry model offering.

How many inches is it from the top of the cargo slide deck to your truck bed? Basically, how much does that platform raise the bed of the truck up? I have a large dog kennel and want to make sure it clears my cap by height. Thanks!
@TerraOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Just measured: 4 1/2" from the bed to the cargo deck, and 7 1/2" to the top of the perimeter tie down rails.

Can you do a video on your built right industries bedside rack system and all of the things you have mounted? Anything you would add or change. I am going to get the same setup for my gladiator.
@TerraOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I actually have a video planned for the next week or two that will detail pretty much everything that I've done to the vehicle so far. I will definitely be covering the bed setup at that time. I'll be sure everything is loaded up so that I can get you an accurate picture. It may be a longer video, so I'll be sure to add time stamps for categories so that you can find what you're interested in! I'll likely have a dedicated "Cargo" section that will include the BuiltRight system.

Pretty bummed to see the shipping damage but it looks ok. Nice and convenient for loads. Enjoy!
@TerraOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Glen! I plan to put it through the paces. You and me both. I installed it as I received it, because there didn't appear to be any structural damage or compromise to the function. I do plan to try to heat up, wrap up, and straighten out the affected corners with some pliers though, but it's fine for now. I was a little worried when I saw the condition of the box itself too, which was far from great. Luckily there wasn't any underlying frame damage and the internal wooden pallet protected most of the system, otherwise I would have had to send it back. Despite the damage, it functions exactly as designed, so I'm happy about that.

hey,, planning on getting the same cargo slide, any regrets not getting the XL version with the 100% slide out ? I was thinking about it but worried about the extra weight, not to mention the extra $$$ that comes with it also. thx !
@TerraOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
No regrets overall. I'm in a similar boat--I couldn't justify the extra cost, and I didn't want the extra weight/height of the XL deck. The weight capacity and extension of the one that I have haven't been a limitation yet, so I'm a happy camper. In my opinion, it's a well built unit.
