Wonder why sound system quality isn't a priority with bigger youtube car reviewers. I mean, it is one of the aspects of your car that you use (at least i do) all the time. They just mention what brand the speakers are and that's about it. Kinda pointless.

my grandad had a jeep grand cherokee in the early 2000s and he says on the dash it had 6 tweeters and still has the best sound system in a car hes had. he has a volvo now which has one of the best ive heard

The Uconnect system is good for the soccer mom the 2018 & up Grand Cherokee is designed for. I have a 2019 Altitude addition, the Uconnect sound system is missing everything above 'Basic'. It has an EQ for Bass, Mid, and High. The Hi, is to Hi, and the volume and bass is tied in with speed of the car but it doesn't raise and lower the EQ evenly. There's no 'Loud' button, no Bass Boost, no pre-synthesized Rock, Pop, or Classic, nor any of the other mods aftermarket car stereos have. Most of the Grand Cherokees electronic function is tied into the Uconnect system, so that's what your stuck with! There is no replacement HiFi system.

Get a kenwood 9904s and iDataLink Maestro. I have it in my Overland, it controls the heated/cooled seats and other oem integrated features, has wireless carplay, reads and resets engine codes… ton’s of options.

I think there is problem wiith power configuration. Your head unit need constant power, to save settings, need check manual, if head unit use second, own battery our two cables from car.
