I know this video was quite a bit ago but id like to add some info for anybody watching this down the road. All three of my WJs are 2004s, and all three of them had the recall for the ORC/airbag module, so a 2004 module is not the fix for this. And, none of my jeeps had a lit airbag indicator on the instrument panel but were all found to have a part number that was defective with potential for random airbag deployment and needed to be replaced. Your only way of knowing is checking the vin and having the recall performed. Go to NHTSA and type your vin. You can certainly do it yourself as long as your dealership will give you the correct part number and you want to buy the part. But it doesnt show a performed recall on the vin info unless its signed off on by the dealer if ya care about that, and some wont supply you the part number, I guess for that reason.

Awesome thanks for the part number! My 2003 WJ Overland had the airbag warning light stay on after starting the engine a couple months ago. The main issue seems to be whether the vehicle was equipped with front airbags, or front & side airbags, as there were two different part numbers for the module. I'm going to grab the module out of an `04 Overland with front & side airbags at the local u-pull. If that doesn't work, I'll pull the two fuses. 😎

Gréât tutorial, thx Question: Is warning red light airbag + klaxon not working + auto cruise not working, can be the cause of the airbag module issue? with that issue my first guess would be clock spring.. make sure your clock spring can handle all the features such a CC. A bad airbag module would only produce an airbag light

what happened, the rough trail tripped your collision sensor or your airbag module crapped out? If it was my jeep Id just replace the airbag module and the airbags myself.. make sure your battery is disconnected. plug er in when your done and see what happens

Hi, I'm from the future. 😆 I watched you change a clock spring. 🤪 On both of these vids, did any of the other controls work, Like horn & cruise? If they do work, it's the module. If they don't work, you won't find out it's the module or not until the horn works again after changing the clock spring. 🙃

So DanH you're just going to skip by the factory key fob has remote start ? I don't think mine has that function 😔 Your can have your airbag module rebuilt they do it for crashed cars if you can't find a replacement . Great video and I love the 007 seatbelt 😂

Its a 3 inch budget boost blocks that will not work with my quadra driver transfer case it puts to much of an angle on the dangle.and binds the front drive shaft.so I'm taking it out I'm not replacing the front drive shaft and getting new yokes and all that

Thank you Dan for your videos that really taught me a lot about my jeep grand Cherokee 2002. I have to share with you that my jeep deployed the airbag while stop to pay a toll lucky that wasn't when it was moving I didn't pay attention to the ABS light, based on this video I now discovered what caused this to happen. Now I have to replace the whole dashboard kit and the steering wheel plus the module. Any sugestión if I can upgrade it to a latest model.

any working module should do the trick so long as the plugs fit. I have a whole Laredo dash with the silver trim if you need it

You should mention not every ZJ or XJ has the ability to remote start from the Key Fob. It's an Option installed when the Jeep was Ordered.

Not sure if its the same issue but my drivers seatbelt latch was busted. I replaced it with a junk yard latch and noticed the old wire was pinched by the seat bracket. after replacement I haven't had a problem since
