This problem is many Grand Cherokee 2006_2010. Overheating in the automatic transmission causes the same problem as the transmission. The PCM gives a false reading when starting the car, everything is fine, but when the engine is turned off and the car is started, the transmission selects 3 instead of D. But everything is fine in the car. The solution to this problem is to change the PCM with a good one.

Ive been getting these problems and did it and it works but the main problem is that it constantly keeps happening say like in the next 2 to 3 months lol cant wait to sell it. And been having trouble every three months i gotta change the filter from the transmission because oil dont go through the filter and it cloges up and stays neautral

My 2005 jeep doesn't shift and runs high rpm, and the speedometer stopped working and the manual shift doesn't work and the light in the instrument cluster is on for it at all. I'm thinking it's a fuse but tried alot can't figure it out do you happen to know what it could be? subscribed thanks

I have a 04 jeep grand cherokee.. I replaced the transmission and now sometimes it will stay in 3 and if I shut it off and reset it will shift into 4 o/D ... I need help figuring this got From Beau veltkamp

Shifting cable needs to be adjusted. Or something is worn out on it

I’m thinking of buy this same model , 210,000km diesel - how does it rank amongst other jeeps? Is it worth buying at this amount of Mileage ? 2003 GRAND CHEROKEE CRD DIESEL 2.7L

A 2003 Jeep grand Cherokee with the 2.7 diesel as far as the engine is concerned they are excellent!!!! I didn’t even know they made one of them with the 2.7. But I guess that was about the time Diamler Chrysler took over jeep and Chrysler so I suppose it makes sense I absolutely loved my 2.7 that I had in my Sprinter Van he got almost 30 miles to the gallon and was rocksolid!!!!

What you did was just reset it temporarily until the problem is fixed.What were the codes on it?

Mine wont shift into 4th or 5th and the brake light comes on at the same time

Well sorry for not answering you sooner. I would have to assume that your transmission is probably reading a wheel speed sensor and your brake light is on because that wheel speed sensor is not working correctly which is telling the transmission when the shift so hopefully you only have a bad wheel speed sensor and nothing wrong with your transmission. It doesn’t show me what video you’re commenting on so I don’t know what kind of vehicle you’re working on but hopefully that information is helpful welcome to the channel we’re very happy to have you

My jeep is having a different problem it wont shift u step on the gas and its like if its in neutral step on the gas slightly it will start mooving slowly to about up to 25mph and thats it any one have this problem might now a fix

thats exactly whats happening to mines. 04 grand cheerokee. got my brakes done and one of my brake lines is leaking so my brake light is on..dont know if its connected but now it wont shift gears. i havent put fluid because it has some on thevdipstick. tm praying its not the end..
