I love my Baxter. In my JKU it ended up like yours, but my air valve is pointing towards the alternator a bit. I used the New FRAM FE10575! I’m a Amsoil user, and I’d never use a FRAM filter in a million years. But I found recently that the new FE series filters are a copy of the Amsoil oil filter. And even assembled in the same factory, with just an outside cosmetic difference. You can find those videos also here on You Tube. But whatever filter you choose. I feel the Baxter unit is a great investment to the life of the little 3.6. Great video

I had no clearance issues with any hoses on my Grand Cherokee or the Engine cover , I used Mobil 1 M1-212A , M1-113A if want a shorter one, and if you want to use a Mopar Filter I also use Genuine Mopar Engine Oil Filter 68466307AB , it has the same flow rate and 22PSI Bypass setting but is 1/2” taller. I have had a slight issue with the filters leaking after hand tightening, they would seep a little after the engine oil gets hot, I would have to give it a 1/8 turn then to make it good not sure if anyone else has had this problem.

I still get a momentary rattle/knock on a cold start up.

Same, but it seems to resolve quicker than it did before.

Have you had any problems running that k&n filter?

Negative. All is well!

@@CliffsHowTo I ended up buying the Purolator Boss version of that one, same size. It fit perfectly! Thank you so much for posting this video, without the reference of this K&N filter I wouldn't have known what I could use. It would drive me nuts having the larger filter on and not having the engine cover fitting.

Biggest con going.

For me this was a complete waste of money! Didn’t fix the cold start chatter and also seems like it’ll be excessive wear on the factory oil filter housing (aluminum vs plastic).

The factory plastic oil cooler housing are susceptible to cracking if you over tighten your. factory oil filter cap. I have a 2020 dodge challenger with 4500 miles on it and when I put the Baxter oil adapter on after it was on I noticed A couple of days later my oil cooler was leaking oil so I must have damaged it when I put on the Baxter oil adapter. With only 4500 miles on the odometer it just shows you how sensitive these plastic parts are to cracking. So I had to replace the oil cooler with an aftermarket Dorman all aluminum. oil cooler. These factory plastic parts that Chrysler uses on these 3.6 L motors are a money maker for Chrysler because they’re so easy to damage

@@mkm44 Yep, completely agree- I worked for Chrysler. I'm very well aware of the factory oil cooler being susceptible to cracking (most tire shops and quick lube places break them easity because they think they need to crank down on them hard) and I know how common they are to leak and break. The entire 3.6 line from 2011-current are ticking bombs. There have been a couple of updates and slight improvements over the years but overall the same problems. The dorman ones are stronger and cheaper but other than that are less quality than even the factory junk ones and usually last even less time. Best bet is stick with OEM, make sure proper oil & maintenance is being followed and will have the most success.
