I've talked to a lot of Jeep 3.6 Pentastar owners, who do daily driven and hard core offroading and None of them have a problem with the factory cartridge filter. Jeep isn't the only company that uses this cartridge style filter, Toyota and others use it and You don't see any of them complaining about Dry Start problems. in the youbietubie vrese, a lot of companies give thing away for free, to the tubers to make videos on the product. that's how a lot of this starts by making people think they need this item.

That filter is large. Could be that with so much volume to replace with the drainback that is occurring, a smaller filter would fill faster. As another poster said, WIX 57502 is only 4.1 inches high (which would make it fit better under the engine cover. An Amsoil EA15K50 is only 3.4 inches high, so would also fit. Each of these has the proper thread diameter and pitch (M22 x 1.50) to screw on, and the gaskets are each also the proper size (O.D. 2.75", I.D. 2.397"). Bypass valves also around 13 psi. The other advantage to this install is possibly avoiding boogering up the bypass valve in the OE filter cap by installing or removing the OE filter incorrectly. Perhaps a follow-up video with a smaller filter to see if the clatter time is reduced further.

The Baxter Oil Filter Adaptor does not address an oil cooler housing leak. That's a totally different issue, which requires replacing the oil cooler housing itself. I have seen them bad on brand new jeeps aswell. do what you like, but when you do them, use the melling replacements rather than the mopar. Advice is free, and wisdom is hard earned. I actually agree with you on both of these. I demonstrate the oil priming in the video. However with the oil priming technique on the original filter set up you can get a check engine light for a cam shaft position sensor bc your spine everything over with little oil pressure and the can phasers are not in the right spot. The fact of the matter is the oil delivery design is not very good and there is really nothing you can do about it. I installed this hoping that it would make a difference and it does but it does not fix it like they claim. Part of my issue is I don't drive the vehicle on a regular basis either. If it's driven daily you might have better results.
