Jeep JK vs XJ, which is the REAL Jeep.. decided by a TACOMA GUY

SomeGuy heads outside with two as similar as can be Jeep Cherokee (XJ) and Wrangler (JK) with the help of *GASP a Toyota guy to decide the DEADLIEST WARRIOR ... sorry i meant .. ULTIMATE WHEELER

I am in fact, just some guy, this was our opinion and satire. The frame is a big advantage in the JKs. I prefer the straight 6 over the 3.6 for simplicity. XJs are definitely lighter which will help in snow and mud. All JKs come with 44 rear ends except for a few early ones in 07 which had the dreadful 35 rear. Both very capable. JKUs do well on 37-42s for hard core rock crawling while an XJ seems happy with 33-37s unless stretched. My take as someone who has wheeled and worked on both platforms.

1 own three very nice XJs (one 1990 and two 1994). They're all four door with manual tranny and 231 trans case. Only one of my 94s is lifted with 31 tires and re-geared to 3.55. I can't imagine driving anything but a real Jeep: the XJ. Good, and funny, video guys. Thanks!!

Had an original 76 cherokee chief that thing really kicked butt, and then a 97xj, while capable wasn't as capable as the 76 cherokee, wrangler and the old cj while awesome can't take the short wheelbase ride an the ones rode had very uncomfortable seats, currently have 98zj with just 2inch and 31s is best jeep I've had,,,

I’ve always wanted a class full size Jeep! A bucket list vehicle of mine. Couple friends of mine have the grand Cherokees and they certainly have earned the grand name they have. They feel a bit less tin can than the XJ

Xjs with some money and garage time are way better imo. Ya it's not as smooth as a ride but shit will it last you. My 92 is at 280k

When you stetch a Wrangler longer and offset the wheels wider, it ruins the original design of a Wrangler... a narrow, compact, short wheelbase trail vehicle.

This is why XJs don't get the JEEP wave, they're just better and Wrangler guys are jelly. That Karen JEEP has a longer wheel base than my ZJ😂🤣😂. My XJ with a 4" lift and a lunch box cost $2,000 including buying it. That turd was underwhelming at best, ooops trd.

It's funny, all the XJs will wave, but only half the wranglers wave😂 I bet the half that wave have a XJ at home and the half that don't, got stuck on the trail and pulled out by an XJ😂😂

My stock Jeep Wrangler gets a wave from EVERY SINGLE Jeep wrangler meanwhile my XJ only gets waves from XJ's and lifted Wranglers. An annoyance I have tried to move on from..

If its not a CJ XJ ZJ or WJ its not a "real jeep" to me. The newer jeeps don't appeal to me. 97 orvis 5.2 owner on 2" lift and 31x10.50r15 with 140k
