I go over an install of the Poison Spyder LED License Plate & 3rd Brake light on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JKU.
I also show how I relocated my license plate to the center of my spare tire using the Teraflex Alpha Spare Tire License Plate Mount Kit.

So, If I have not yet relocated my tag to the tailgate, I'm assuming I'll have to run wires from the current location, through to the tailgate, correct? Where is the best place to run them to the other side?

asmith001 I ran then back up through the little rubber grommet on the inside of the taillight area, under the plastic trim on the drivers side then under the rubber s tailgate sill up through the plastic trim on the passenger side then in to my tailgate through the hinge area with the other wires. You can carefully remove the plastic trim pieces and route it out the back 👍🏻

I tried the tail light method and the tail light didn’t function lol so i’m attempting to tap into it from the tailgate

is it necessary to run the ground form both the two ground wire to PS one. why not just ground one?
