Looks awesome! That is the same lift / tire setup I have been planning to do on my 4xe, but I am going to go with Teraflex Nomad wheels.

@@mtncrow4x4 have not gotten to it yet, decided to finish my 35” tires first before upgrading
@mtncrow4x46 ай бұрын
@@Sam1986E I just went with the falken wildpeak at4w in 35x11.5x17 so they fit the stock rims (i wanted a "narrower" tire which is generally better for offroading) and its a load c (i had aome meh load e's and def. no on that again). i wanted the tire to flex for traction and ride comfort and it also allowed me to carry the spare with no mods to my tailgate 😎 i did add 2" wheel spacers but that is for the lift install.
@Sam1986E6 ай бұрын
@@mtncrow4x4 that is where I am at, if I switch to a bigger tire, it will have to be a load C, ride comfort and trail performance would both be better, but it’s hard to find a 37” tire in load C it seems, maybe the mile-star Patagonia but those are 38”s.. The stock Rubicon XR rim is 8.5” wide so it should work with a 12.5” wide 37” tire (it doesn’t work with 13.5”)
@mtncrow4x46 ай бұрын
@@Sam1986E yea thats a good idea. i didnt want to go wider and heavier. i def. notice the additional tire and spacer weight on the vehicle. Tires + Stock 7.5" wide rim + spacer is somewhere north of 95lbs. I cannot imagine loading it up full of gear and wheeling it with larger and wider tires without a regear. Prob. go 4.88 and 37's eventually but that'd be it. I am too concerned about breaking an axle with anything more than that. From all that I read, D50 is really recommended if you go 37's and up and I'd have to agree. But then you start getting bogged down on that v6 and a fully loaded rig. And a 392 Wrangler is a bit out of my price and fuel cost range. In reality YMMV and if you wamt to build it right, those things must be considered to keep the Jeep reliable if you plan to wheel it hard.

Hi, great install video. Where do I find the torque spec sheet? Couldn't find it anywhere. TIA

You may contact MC support directly. They should have it handy for you. You can also find it directly from there website.

Doing my install Saturday but I've got some gofers to help lol. 😎 How did using 3 bumpstops workout long term? Did you end up pulling one out? Also, did you end up installing their DB3 in the rear? I am, as I imagine on road handling will be much better and the additional articulation. Also, I noticed you lied about not running 37's and not installing the outboard shock mounts. 😁
@YeepLife6 ай бұрын
3 bumpstops used is working out great! This lift kit is amazing. I’m not sure what you meant when you said i lied. I dont recall in the vid saying i run 37”s. The tires are 38”s. Nor do i recall anything about installing or not installing the shock mounts.
@mtncrow4x46 ай бұрын
@@YeepLife lol nah you had said you weren't going to install outboard shock mounts because you werent going to run 37's. then, "2 weeks later"... you roll up in 38's with the brackets installed. 😉
@mtncrow4x46 ай бұрын
I decided to run 2 since I am only running 35's. Drove to S.J. yesterday on that xsmooth" road, ha! and the only thing that came lose was the front driver side sway bar end link nut. Tightened it up and seems like it's gtg.

@@mtncrow4x4 Haha. Ok, you got me there. I wasnt lying still. I guess during the vid, i wasnt sure what I was going to do two weeks later. So whatever i said two weeks prior that changed, it was what it is.Nonetheless, yes, I run 38"s with the shock mounts installed.

@@YeepLife lol. all good. if i could have found a 37" in 11.5" that was a good tire id prob. have gone up to that size. after setting my tire size using jscan im down from 20.5mpg to 19mpg so.... how bad did yours drop going to 38's? Have you regeared yet?

Did you disconnect your sway bars through the motor so it was easier to drop each side into place and help with coil spring installment

I dont recall! But that is a good point and will definitely keep that in mind for future suspension mods.

How about an update? Do they rub off-road? Does it sit level on flat ground? Tire/suspension still feel good at highway speeds? I’m looking todo the exact lift and tire setup on my 22 jlur recon.
@YeepLife Жыл бұрын
No rubbing off-road. Flex is great! Suspension smooth and ride quality is like stock. You wont be dissapointed.

Did you just set the track bar to the same length as the factory?
@YeepLife2 жыл бұрын
If i can remember, it came with it adjusted to match the length as factory so i didn’t have to make any adjustment. If it did not, you’d want to adjust it to ensure the axle is centered.

so what was the lift amount that you actually got?
@mtncrow4x46 ай бұрын
Mine gained me 5". Keep inmind it hasn't settled yet AND the kit is designed to be 3.5" after steel rear bumper, steel front bumper with a winch, rock sliders, and heavier wheel on the tailgate. I do not recall if that also included under body armor or not.
