Man. I’ve been watching these videos for the past two days, randomly selecting them on their channel. They are all great! I’m not new to off roading, been living off the ‘main’ roads my whole life. I literally grew up driving off road. But where I am it’s different. I’m up in Northern Ontario, Canada. Completey different than the rock and desert terrain you guys are running in. That looks like a blast! I’m used to back woods, mud, log trails, log corduroy roads, swampy mucky messes... pulling more days than driving, hip deep in the mire..... I’m very glad you posted all these videos! I’m flat on my back right now, hope to be mobile again in the near future, but these videos are inspirational to me! Makes me want to get up and go buy a Jeep. I’ve been running trucks all my life. Never had a Jeep. But now, I want one more than ever! I have a truck build that’s been on hold for a few years now, but now I am thinking of selling the whole thing, and moving into a Jeep project. Anyway, from one small part of the off roading world to an other, thank you! All the best in your adventures. I look forward to more videos.

These are not only the best jeep videos on KZbin but the best videos period. I'm 18 and living the dream and planning to get a 4 door JLU after college (about 3 years from now). We did the triple threat on Thursday of EJS in a two door. We tried the waterfall going up and it almost ended with a flop. The four doors crawled right up, all two doors had to take a winch including me. At some point either on that trail or cliffhanger on big Saturday we bent the spare tire pin on a rear LOD bumper. I think we need that hitch mounted stinger you got. Great video as always.

Yes, we did regear to 5.13s. That said, 4.88 is a better fit for 37's. We eventually upgraded to 38's and that is a great fit for 5.13

Wayalife :D I had a feeling it wouldn't have been easy. But awesome videos - they made me realise there was more it than just the technical test-drives.... you buy into a culture. Will definitely head down to the dealers early next year when the JL becomes available in my country.

Great video!! It would be interesting to set up an experiment and try and reproduce the power loss issue. Then we could figure out for sure what is causing it, and what to avoid.
@wayalife6 жыл бұрын
We've already done it. You just need to make sure that you're in Manual Shift and it won't happen. If you leave it in Drive, a rev limiter kicks in and causes the problem. It's very unnerving when it happens too.
@rosedrum6 жыл бұрын
You guys are awesome! Thanks for figuring that out. I guess I better get into the habit of switching to manual.

When Tony had the problem of losing power during the shift, was he in drive? If so do you think being in manual would have fixed the issue?

Yes, he was in drive and yes, the answer to this problem is to be in manual mode. You will see more of this in part 2.
