What a terrific video series! I just finished watching all four, and wow! LOVE the terrific production value. It also makes me want to get back out to Moab! I was there 2 weeks after EJS, we were there for 10 days of mountainbiking. On my last day I was planning on renting a JKR to hit the trails with, but a bad crash 2 days before the end of the trip foiled that. As I'm still recovering I have plenty of time to catch up on your videos. They make me want to get my ass back to Moab, as well as get a Jeep! Of course then I'll have to relocate out west, as there isn't much for wheeling in New England, where I live. Oh, and that stock Rubi was awesome! It's amazing what these are capable of off the showroom floor. I saw at the end in the credits that it has the Turbo 4, did the owner share his thoughts on it with you?

Duhhh, see how impatient some folks are? Ok, so you are pretty impressed about the acceleration. Would love to hear your feedback once out on the trail and how it behaves there when crawling and if the Turbo is smooth there. One downside clearly is that the Turbo requires 91 octane gas instead of the 87 like the V6.

The 2.0-liter turbo makes 268 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, versus the 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of the Pentastar V-6. Off road, which would yo choose now? On-road its probably the turbo, right?
@wayalife6 жыл бұрын
I ain't gonna lie, as you can see in the very very end of the video, the 2.0L turbo rocked! If I were keeping it stock, it's definitely the way I'd go. What I really want to know is how it'd perform with 37's or bigger.
@notice_fpv6 жыл бұрын
What air pressure are you running, @Wayalife? Watching this series, I can't help but wonder why you don't go lower. It seems the Evo folks are running a significantly lower pressure, judging by sidewall flex, etc. I say, if you've got the bead locks, how low can you go!
@wayalife6 жыл бұрын
EVO was also running about an inch more lift and therefore had greater break over angles. Going lower on psi also LOWERS your Jeep and being that we were already an inch lower than them and suffering from reduced break over angles, we decided to keep our psi up a bit higher. IF we had problems getting up obstacles, we would have aired down more but we didn't so we left well enough alone. Just because you "can" go lower in psi doesn't always mean that you "should" or "need" to or at least, not in my opinion.
@notice_fpv6 жыл бұрын
Fair enough, Wayalife! Thanks.

If u have enough money for the 4 door would u get it? Or the 2 door ? Mostly do offroading in the desert & mountains. Not really alot of crazy rock crawling. Any JEEP experts? I' dont know anything about jeeps offroading but I plan on getting one.
@wayalife6 жыл бұрын
Having owned both, I would get a 4-door especially if you have others that come with you and/or if you do any camping. The extra room to carry gear is nice to have and I have found a 4-door to out perform a 2-door.
@d4vidgarr446 жыл бұрын
