Its all down to price, if done right could carve a good space for Meridian; but if priced too close to Frotuner then its no flow blown SUV and won't make sense to spend money on. For the levels of localization Jeep claims, it should be able to undercut Fortuner; but seeing how ridiculously Compass is priced since the facelift, I have very little hope.

The Toyota Fortuner 3rd row is also cramped and only good for children. No comparison to MG Gloster.

This car has got so many disadvatages and its no where comparable to fortuner or ford endeaver: 1. The engine specification is same as Jeep compass which is very low powered compared to fortuner. Where is fortuner and where is this car. 500nm torque vs 350nm torque. 200hp vs 170hp I don't understand the logic of having the same engine on a bigger car which is same in smaller car. How does this gives better feeling and it's a simple common sense. In India, Even a 7th std child can tell what is the performance!!!! 2. Last row is cramped and middle row cannot be adjusted to sit comfortably in last row. This is a basic common sense to provide a adjustable middle row but this is missing. 3. 35 lc - 38lc is very expensive and I am not sure who will buy this car. I think strongly Jeep needs to think in their strategy when compared to XUV700 which is way way better than this car. Jeep compass itself is struggling to sell and I believe their sales has been down compared to the launch. I feel this car also will be a big flow show. I think in another 2 years, Jeep will take the path of Ford. Indians wants maximum value for their money as like XUV 700!!!! Jeep is trying to sell something by just doing a small adjustment into the last row.

@@harikrishnanl3327 Actually it is a shame that SUV like Alturas G4 will have to phase out from our market due to hardly any takers for such a capable SUV. May be Mahindra missed the trick to promote agressively the Alturas - but they eventually learnt from their mistake and ie why XUV 700 commands waiting period of over 1 year

i agree but the reviewer is 6 and a half foot tall while the majority of us are somewhere between 5.6 to 6.2. as for its MVP'ish looks, I prefer the Compass's dimensions
