Jeep’s entire fleet has to be manufactured in India rather import the parts & assemble here. Many people long for Jeep, but let away by their pricing. Jeep is a robust and a no compromise brand which needs to be made here…

I don't think this can be compared to Germans, because all the Germans provide a 6 cylinder engine like the x5 & q7 however they both don't provide same amount of off-road capability & toughness, when you are spending as much as 95+L onroad you can go for a defender 2.0 by spending 5 more lakhs, same steel springs & 2.0 engine but a much better car.

Go for this car if you want something rare and different cuz Jeep is gonna have a hard time pushing this car off showroom floors. The engine's power output is adequate and adequate is not what you're looking for at over 90lacs on road. Such a beautiful car, what a shame it comes with an under powered engine in a variant that doesn't do it justice! Can't entirely blame Jeep though, complying with govt regulations these days while still satisfying customers is a challenge in and of itself.

The only problem with this car is the price, jeep as a brand doesn't have the same value as the three germans. It should have been priced close to 65 lakh onroad then it would be a great option to consider.

It's cheaper than Germans if you compare with the cars of same segment. Comparing with smaller cars or crossovers doesn't really make much sense. Real issue is lack of a more powerful engine. That shud exist as an option

It does look like a proper SUV and with spacious reclining 5 seats, passenger screens and huge boot like an estate, it does kick the Germans right in the rear bumper, but the price tag should be at max 70L, because for similar price X5 with straight 6 3.0L and 330hp surely sounds like a better option for the enthusiast minded drivers

78 lakhs ex showroom means 95 lakhs approx on road depending on the state. That's a serious asking money for this car.... Will sell as rare as tigers in the jungle..... Hardly to be seen.....

Guy debating about noisy diesel engines needs to drive the German 6 cylinders to understand how quite they are. A 4 cylinder cannot compare to the torque rush of the bigger engines. But to give it to him, he Did try to polish & present the case for this one.

The rims looks like after market, no night vision, no adaptive air suspension as offered in the top spec in International markets. All in all it’s a 77 lac rupees compass on steroids, with 3 screens inside the cabin. It’s disappointing to see that all those elements which would have made this SUV standout from its German competition, were not offered.

To be frank nobody is gonna take a 78+ Lakh(ex-showroom) car to off-roads. That's a truth that everybody accepts. So in that perspective jeep being this highly priced but in looks it's just an compass with extended boot, where the rivals are showing their designs to mark up with that price point. So to be reasonable...I don't think any valid point to choose this car over its rivals and thinking this asking price is reasonable to pay for this Jeep Grand Cherokee is absolutely absurd.
