This task would have put me in the hospital with air bag deployment putting a 10 mm socket to the dome. Your patience and expertise is much admired.

I have to do this for the far left air vent haha. Parts on its way. Just sucks I gotta do all that for the vent! I may do some speakers since I'll have it open and I live just down the street from AutoZone lol.

If you power the crossover with a 9v battery and wire to any speaker if speaker pushes outward the polarity is correct if the speaker sucks inwards it is wrong ; ) that should help if you want to know if something is positive and negative correctly

Unfortunately that doesn't work to well on drivers with very little excursion, also the capacitors in the crossover absorb most of the battery. I did try it with a AA battery without the crossover but the domes limited excursion made it too hard to tell. It's on to bigger and better things now 😁.

I need to remove the radio / AC control bezel to fix the AC controls. At 3:52 it looks like you are doing that without using any tools - I am almost in disbelief (because when I try similar things on mine it doesn’t budge). Any tips?
@thenotoriousrvh6091 Жыл бұрын
I don't like to use tools unless absolutely necessary. Start at a bottom corner and pull outward. If you can get it, just carefully use a butter knife to get under the plastic and give it a twist.

@@thenotoriousrvh6091 - thanks I will give that a try. Initially I thought I was going to have to take the whole dash apart, but watched your video and I just have to remove that bezel - gave me confidence that this wouldn’t be too difficult.

I should've added this technique is for the 2012 & up.

@@thenotoriousrvh6091 - I have a 2010; another video I saw for that year had a similar approach, using a thin pry tool at the points where the catches are on the sides. So I think your video is close enough for my needs. Thanks once again.

@@thenotoriousrvh6091 - I just finished getting that radio bezel off and the repair I needed to do. Your video and tips were exactly the assistance I needed. I had put off this repair thinking that getting that panel off would need an excessive effort and clearly that was not the case. Thank you very much.
