Heat gun, "Goof-off" (or WD-40), a hair dryer will work in a pinch.

curious i noticed you didn’t use any kind of liquid/water . seems like a simple question but should i just apply on a dry surface??? thanks

Dave that’s one of those “it depends” questions. Doing a wet install is more forgiving but it does take longer to do. You have to apply and let it sit for 20-30 minutes before pulling the application tape off. I never use the wet method for hood name installs but I’ve been doing it for 25 years.

What type of vinyl do you use? And is it sublimation. Does that make it last longer? Better with UV rays?

We use Oracal 651 outdoor sign grade vinyl.

Is it better to adhere the sticker with the hood warm (outdoor) or cold (indoor)???

How do you create a two color offset? I have a Cricut and find it difficult to do two colors.

Jeff Davis you have to layer it one on top of the other. I use Flexisign 12 for my software and I add registration marks. With my software (not sure if it’s the same on others) it will automatically cut said registration marks in the same spot for both colors. Then you mask the top color, peel the backing paper and line up the registration marks.
