Yeah... With those kinds of tires, you NEED to rotate them every 5,000 miles or so. The cupping is not a fault of the tires here.

When we use another size of rim and tire, the truck will have to make a greater effort. We always have to keep an eye on details such as alignment, balance, correct air pounds in the tires because the cold causes loss of air, as well as how we drive. There are many details that influence the truck, even the transmission can be affected a bit, but that is when we buy used tires. tire rotation is very important there are also many aspects that we have to take care of
@MrTnesmith Жыл бұрын
You probably need new shocks, to control the bouncing of the tire and wheel. Also an Alignment and check ball joints etc.

Wheel alignment on my 2004 f150 xlt screw took care of front tire cupping issue . The toe-in/out was off a smidge.

@speshulktothek2 жыл бұрын
Half way through the video i was mentally preparing my comment to help you but then you started talking about the issue... you. LOL also in my opinion huge rims and off road tires dont jive too well to begin with, what's the point? You need some sidewall flexibility to get some traction. I would also check the toe in your alignment and maybe do a chalk test, you may have too much air pressure. i have the "same truck" and run 35x12.5 17s with the kenda klever rt's and love them. Rotate more often and coast once in a while, you dont have to be pushing the gas or brake all the time.

I had the same problem with my f250 I didn't rotate them But the real problem was I tow trailers a lot. it picks up on the front end which miss alines the truck just a little. So that puts a little bit of odd tire wear and then when I took the trailer off The tire would go back to normal and ended up causing chop or cupping depending on who you ask.. All I did is just throw them on the rear
@f1fiftyjimmy2 жыл бұрын
Ya I’m guessing from towing my boat a lot and not rotating enough caused it as well. Lesson learned 🤦🏼♂️

Step Wear, not cupping. That's suspension, not tire. I've got 27k on a set of Klever RT 33s with the proper alignment and suspension. Rotating at 7,500 to 10k miles. My tires are still 80% tread, zero uneven wear pattern. Also if you're over 2.5" lift, stock components don't have the proper geometry anymore. You said it best, not the tire. If you're hauling a trailer a lot, that's only going to increase this specific issue.

Lol..dude, we literally think alike!!! i spend hours and days for the perfect tires I'm have these same exact tires size and all on my 2018 Silverado. these turned out GREAT. it's that time to replace them. Just hit 48k miles on them after 4 years.. and will say my 2 front tires are cupped do to the fact that I didn't rotate them about last year..or the last 8-9 k miles....totally my fault. I will be buying my next set now.. and run it back!!

I rotate mine around the time the oil change is due so about every 7-8k miles. If cupping is bad just rotate and they should fix themselves if not you can have the tire ground back round which will eat some tread but will give you a smother ride again

My nittos on fuel wheels ride terribly. It's intermittent on the highway but guaranteed bad vibration around 45mph. Balanced and balanced, then put beads in the tires. Nothing has fixed it. Looking at arkon wheels and searching tires. Cross rotating tires help also with cupping and it can't hurt rotating 3-5k miles
@f1fiftyjimmy2 жыл бұрын
Ya I’ve noticed from rotating the Klevers now they aren’t cupped as bad. For the price of the klever 22 it’s a solid deal.

Cupping is from being out of balance, alignment, or worn shocks, You gotta be anal about tires. Dont over inflate them. Drive smooth, rotate every 5k miles if you spot wear early. I have some toyo 33s that haven't been rebalanced or rotated in 30k miles and theyre in perfect condition. Food for thought.
