Thank you man. You saved me a lot of time. I bought the same Doorman part and just installed it. It seems to engage right away when I press the pedal. The only problem is I cross threaded a plastic fitting on my brake bleeder kit so I have to wait for a new one to arrive.

No problem! I’m glad this video still gets seen and can help people out! For brake bleeder fittings they sell a kit of 20 at advance auto for like 9 bucks I believe. My fittings usually never last that long

@@RAGEallNITE13 yea I was hoping to find it in a store but couldn't. I didnt have to make any adjustments to the push rod in the brake booster. I can confirm the new master cylinder feels very firm with much less input required to stop my jeep.

R/A $68.79 Before taxes and shipping, just ordered it. Swapping to TJ Rubi 44's and doing the WJ / Knuckle / Brakes and GM 1 ton steering upgrade. So glad I came across your video! Thanks for putting it out here! Also followed you on IG. Good lookin' out brother-man!

Part ordered. Thanks! $72 on Rock Auto as of today. Inflation sucks.

I did this on my 05 tj on tons worked great! Got the part off Amazon for $40 🤙🏻

I was under the impression. A bigger bore master cylinder will move more fluid for a given amount of pedal travel, but produce less force at the calipers.

Thanks for taking the time to make this vid!! Did you have to turn your push rod out any or in?

About half a turn

Thank you for the video and the part number. Would this be helpful with TJs on bigger tires 35s but on stock calipers?
@MrRickstar32110 ай бұрын
I should look before I ask but this is the internet... lol... You doing aftermarket or some time of OEM swap for your power steering? For now I'm just going to do the Grand Cherokee ps pump swap, my current is already groaning under the 33's, these 35's will fry it for sure. Trying to get ready for a trip out to EJS.

Did you do anything with the proportional valve after mc upgrade? Dealing with a 99tj with a waggy front, Dana 60 rear with ford explore brakes. Still squishy after swapping to new MC. Everything bled flawlessly

Thanks for this video. I'm thinking this mod for my 04 LJ. Did you change the plunger bolt as well?
@RAGEallNITE134 жыл бұрын
Nope I think maybe one half of a turn just to set the play just right so it doesn’t sit constantly pressured and it doesn’t have a gap of dead fall.

@@RAGEallNITE13 thank you. Do you recommend changing this on stock axles? Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear with 35s? stocks capipers

Hey my dude. What dot fluid did you use? The fluid for the ram 3500 or the tj dot fluid?
@RAGEallNITE133 жыл бұрын
I believe both are dot 3 brake fluid no? I used dot3 and it’s been running good for over a year strong now

@@RAGEallNITE13 gotcha. And one more question. Did you have to use any brake line fittings? (Where it screws into the master cylinder) Or do they plug in like it was the stock master cylinder.
@zaetke874 жыл бұрын
do you h e to get line adapters or anything like that for it? and is this something that would benefit a rig on 35s with nothing upgraded aside for rear disc brakes (ford 8.8) ?
@RAGEallNITE133 жыл бұрын
No it bolts right up same threads and all

Would you recommend this master cylinder upgrade on a stock 2006 LJ with factory 4 wheel disk brakes and upgraded stainless braided hoses.
@RAGEallNITE134 жыл бұрын
yenkoskc i dont believe you’ll see enough of a difference for it to be worth your while, usually it only benefits when you get bigger calipers like ones with more pistons
@yenkoskc4 жыл бұрын
InkedTank Do you know if the bore size is the same? I just figured it was larger. Maybe the proportioning valve is where the difference comes in.
@RAGEallNITE134 жыл бұрын
yenkoskc roughly the 1min mark shows the side by side view and you can see the dodge on is larger
