Thank you. Never really had to do my own mechanic work and I just replaced my thermostat, water pump, belt, and clutch fan thanks to heroes like you who make videos for those of us noobies. You rock.

Just watched as a refresher since I have to wait a cpl more days before the T-stat gets here. Had to order it. Best to use a 195 degree and even after you made mention of the bleeder valve, you put it in at 3 o'clock which I kinda laughed about, but maybe at the end you caught it, Just paused to send this lol Good to show others that thats what it looks like stuck open, props to that.

MotorRad purchased Stant in Feb 2020. Stant sold and closed their Arkansas HQ in 2021. FYI.

Dose that year still have temp gauge sensor on back of head by firewall. The 4.0 always had an air gap back there that you had remove sensor to burb or you would have engine temperature fluctuations

No, the temp sensor is on the thermostat housing.

@@737mechanic yeah there’s two on older models one there and on the back just for the dash gauge. Not sure what year they stopped doing two or if it’s still used . I worked at a Jeep dealership and it was common 86-88 for sure not sure after that

I installed mine with the breather hole piece in about the 10oclock position do you think that will be an issue ?
@737mechanic Жыл бұрын
As long as you don't have any overheating issues it will be fine.

whatever you do, i HIGHLY recommend NOT purchasing a Premium Motorad FAILSAFE thermostat. it is designed to fail; and fail it will, very shortly after you install it, under normal warm driving circumstances.
