Hey for the first part with removing the dash. After removing the top two screws from the frame there are two more on the bottom behind the netted pocket board. The board comes off by gently prying an once off the two screws will be revealed. After removing those the whole dash will be removable as shown. Great video by the way! Extremely helpful!

thanks alot, I have a 2008 too. It seems the later models had a WAY more complicated removal process. Have you been able to replace it with a touch screen radio?

I just purchased an 07 Sahara wrangler unlimited. It has the exact same stereo. Everything works on but I can't get it to play CDs. It says DVD across the screen when I put in a CD, then a disk read error appears and it spits it out. Is there some DVD setting it's stuck on. I can't get it to read the disk as a CD and am wondering if it can be reset somehow

My dad is replacing my broken radio of a jeep patriot 2009 with one from the car junkyards. Each radio that was replaced does not allow the c.d. player to work. Is there another connection or cable that we're missing for the c.d player to work? Or are they just non functioning? Thanks!

I have a 07 with the same 6 disc changer but my aux port is broken... i dont use cds anymore so i see on ebay they have single disc radios for like 40-50 bucks, if i were to get one of the single discs and not another 6 disc changer, would that be or cause any kind of issue??

a double din works but you may need to remove a support bar from behind the radio depending on how large the radio is
