I spent the extra money and purchased all 6 injectors. I have a 2015 jeep wrangler sport unlimited @ 85k miles and the total cost for all 6 new injectors was $560 at autozone. I also got the NGK spark plugs another $165 for the 6pcs. I personally did the work with no experience just youtubed it and had alot of patience overall it was a 7hr job with about a 12pck of modelos. It's always a study in first before you go in to do the work make sure you have all the tools. I had a misfire cylinder 3 with 85k miles I'm now at 8k miles since the spark and injectors swap and has been working like new. I just got a check engine light for an o2 sensor and swapped it out for a new one again youtube helped.

I had the same issue and it did it again this am also it can be bad gas also have your gas tank flushed n cleaned and see if it makes a difference that was my problem I have a 2011 Jeep Cherokee hope it works for yall also

2011 jeep wrangler misfire in 1 and 3 cylinders and multi misfire. I had a compression test on each cylinder and each one was 160. New coil pack, wires and plugs. Plus new fuel injection kit put in. Still the runs, shakes and a lot of fuel smell out of the exhaust.

Couple things come to mind, valve timing could be off but compression seems fine. With a scan tool that can see the misfire events, how fast do they accumulate would give a clue if there is a dead cylinder or if it jumps to any cylinder indicating a possible computer problem. When did this start?

@@Motorcarnut it started a couple of days after I had my suspension done. My ABS light goes on and my engine light would flash. So the first time I noticed the engine running really rough. I don't drive it. That's when I was going down the list with the compression test, on each cylinder, new coil pack, plugs, wires and installed fuel injector kit. I'm kinda stuck. lol

Suspension done? Maybe whoever did that mess up a wire harness or something like that? Sounds too quintessential it started right after that? Especially if you have good compression you replaces coils plugs and injectors?

I have cylinder #2 open and misfire like you. Pretty certain I need to replace injector #2 but wanted to measure to confirm before tearing top of engine apart. Do you know which is the other side of the fuel injector larger connector? It was pretty convenient that it happened on cylinder #1 for you and could measure the injector directly. I would like to measure the injectors from the other side of the harness.

You would have to look up the wiring diagram for the fuel injector circuit. Online library resources is a good start if you don't have access to professional manuals.

@@Motorcarnut Thanks. I found a website that has connector pinouts for the JK. Looking at your install video, I determined it was the lower large black 20 pin connector with the grey latches which is mounted on the upper driver side firewall. I was able to measure the resistance of each injector by unplugging that connector. Odd thing I found low resistance on what is labeled as "injector 4" according to pinout and wiring diagrams but I am having misfires via P0202 code on cylinder 2. Maybe "injector 4" is used on cylinder 2? I will start tearing it down this week to replace injectors and figure that part out once I gain access to the injector wire connections. Thanks for you videos! These helped me confirm what I suspected, that it was likely something electrical since I had a P0202 as well as a P0302 misfire code.

What code would a oxygen sensor put out?? I've changed throttle body and plugs and wires and coil pack and still have a ruff idle. Getting code p0300. And another but I can't remember that one. Someone said change oxygen sensors. Fixing to do that. Any in put would be very helpful. Thanks

That code is for a random misfire, if you don’t have any other codes then it’s not an o2 problem. Can be a vacuum leak or low fuel pressure

I have a cylinder 5 misfire code on my 2011. Sputters after cranking and pops like a little backfire. If I don’t let it warm up enough it’ll misfire and sputtering down the road. Also running rich. Otherwise if I let it warm up probably it drives fine. I have had the flashing CEL before as well. Spark plug in that cylinder was COMPLETELY shot as well. Wondering if it’s a burnt valve or injector.

Can't be a burnt valve as the problem would not go away once warmed up, could be the injector temperature resistance, bad spark plug, weak ignition or low compression.

I believe i have this problems, happend today I was driving for a little bit and got the car shaking got a check engine light on, do you recommend just changing the one with problem or all of them?

Well it’s always good practice to replace them all as they will eventually fail as well, if money allows it of course.

Mine does the same when it is put in reverse or when it’s cold outside. My check engine light just came on and it seem to be struggling like loss of power then a quick response

Failing fuel injectors won't just be when the truck is in reverse, it will happen anytime, check the code and let me know what it is.

That code is for a bad o2 sensor or wiring in the rear o2. You need a scan tool to see the fuel trims because that code can be related

My jeep wrangler 2018 has that problem , it's shaking and engine light flashing when I drive it , is it a reason for sell it or trade it for another car? I had this problem like 7 months ago and I sent it to my dealership for fix it , They fixed it and charged me 700$ , now I'm having the same problem and I'm getting tired of all this , my question it's if this problem will appear again and again? or it's possible fix it forever? thank you.

Find out which codes are flashing on the dash. There is no reason to sell it. I know it can be frustrating but just find a good local mechanic. Dealerships, all they want to do is warranty work where they make the money. Stay away from them unless you have a free recall.

Honda’s break down just as much as any car. And people who buy wrangles don’t consider any other vehicles. Of course I fixed it, I can fix any vehicle, I’m a mechanic. Mine was a bad fuel injector. Cost depends on who fixes it. Mine cost just over $200.00 for the parts.

@@Motorcarnut Ohh , you are mechanic , I remember that last time that I paid for fix that problem was 700$ , 200$ for the parts and 500$ for labor , and I had to pay it but it looks like they didn't do a good job because I'm having this problem again , I love my jeep but I'm scared with these problems , I read people with same problems and they complain about these problems and they recomended sell the car lol , Well I will update my situation soon , I will give another oportunity to my jeep but if this happen again I will have to sell it , Wish me good luck! thanks.

One second it short, can be a lot of things, ignition, fuel etc

@@Motorcarnut it only shakes in the morning when the engine has been closed for 12 hours after that for the rest of the day it's fine, and thanks for answering

Yes, it could be fuel pressure bleeding down overnight and when you start it it takes that second or two to build up and you feel the shake.
