How does this work with the horrible eTorque Pentastar 3.6 liter V-6 engines that have a belt start generator? I have a 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with the 3.6 liter V-6 engine with eTorque. Are the tube clearances the same with the belt start generator and the stupid cooling system for the idiotic eTorque battery? If you can’t tell, I hate the design and was told something different when I ordered my Jeep at the end of 2020. Last, why didn’t you start the Jeep up, and show both before and after numbers of horsepower and fuel economy numbers?

Thank you so much. So many other videos do not show the removal of the air sensor that needs to be reused in the new system. I really appreciate the tip. Did not want to damage such a fragile part.

Just installed this. I noticed that you were struggling a little to line up the air box mounting bracket as I did. Flip it around so the long part of the bracket is mounted to the air box and it’s a lot easier and doesn’t come into contact with the battery tray sidewall.

I noticed you took out the two Christmas tree clips that holds the IAT sensor wiring, but left them dangling with the wires after the new install. Dangling wires will eventually break, that's why Jeep had them secured with the clips. S & B should provide a bracket for the clips.

auto stop / start system service light came on after I installed this , does it have anything to do with this , before installation everything was perfectly fine btw this is an amazing product hearing that cold air being sucked in 😮‍💨

I recently had a mopar cold air intake installed in my 22 jl Sahara and a few days later I’m getting a P1CEA code throw my check engine light. Apparently it’s mentioning boost side EVAP purge system.

Does this affect gas mileage? I'm filling up once a week driving 400 miles a week, would this cause it to soak up the gas faster?

This should actually help out your MPG a bit more because it will help your engine breathe better. Not by a lot.. but every MPG counts!! :) -Merideth

What's the point of installing and reviewing without showing us what the air filter sound like ?

Because, as she mentioned, the selling points are the horsepower, torque, and filter protection under the hood. There are plenty of hoon channels that probably do what you're asking.

Do NOT buy this product, S&B claims your warranty is safe, but it's far from it. Installed this on a 2018 JL, noticeable added noise, barely any effect on performance, and let a TON of sand through, voided my warranty, and ended up with a dead engine. I had to "co-pay" the dealer for a full engine replacement. I took good care of the filter, followed instructions to the dot, and cleaned it regularly after every off-road drive. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I know at least 2 others that faced the same issue with S&B products and the hood scoop.

Yes! S&B unfortunately does not provide dyno numbers but the design should offer a small increase in power due to better efficiency.

Absolutely not, all they do is attract more dust and they are water magnets. If you want a TRUE CAI get a snorkel.

Factory air intakes tend to be restrictive and don't flow as well conpared to aftermarket kits like this! So if you're looking for an intake that flows better compared to factory, more intake noise, extra throttle response and a bump in horsepower - aftermarket air intakes are a great option! -Zach
