Also it’s a good idea to replace the rear main seal while you have everything apart plus it might be the source of the oil leak

the 2.5L had one piece rms and i didn’t want to drop the transmission, but if you want to you can

I just finished this job you don’t have to remove the starter or the inspection plate but you do have to remove the exhaust. There a little table in the inspection plate you can Bend back with a screwdriver

@@landoncarter6452 it came with it, if you look up the oem part there’s a version that comes with the clips and gasket

Use felt pro gasket set them come with the blue clips I also recommend replacing the rear main seal while you have everything open which I did

You don’t have to disconnect the battery just tape the wire on the starter

FYI the correct torque in the Chilton manual stats: * 1/4 x 20 (smaller bolt) = 84 in-lbs * 5/16 x 18 (bigger bolt) = 132 in-lbs

I didn't see your exhaust pipe crossing over from the manifold to the catalytic converter, was it not in the way?

Did you prime that new oil pump? If so how did you go about it?

you can either pull the plugs and crank with the starter or use a drill to spin the pump manually

No, just in the 4 spots shown at 4:30, but my gasket is oem and the manufacturer says you don't need it in between the pan and the gasket

no, it did that first time when i didn't buy oem parts. this video was my second time doing it with oem parts and it didn't leak at all afterwards.
