Hey you could buy the freedom top hard top, it's a hard top but the roof above the front two seats come off and you can store them behind the back seat, that's what I have, it's totally worth it!

I put a 5.7L hemi in my JKUR and my gas mileage went from bad to terrible so I sold it and bought the new JLUR and love it ! Now I want to put a 6.2L hellcat and my wife said she will kill me so I can’t do that ( yet !!!!! ) but I am doing every other upgrade I can. Love all jeeperz and jeep vids keep it up I like your style and videos. Fun to watch.

Proud owner of a 2009 JK (soft top, 2 door, flame red) that I bought in 2013. I've had it a few months over 3 years, and could pay it off right now if I wanted to, but I'll let time take care of that. Like you I've been super lucky and have had no problems aside from my battery going kaput. But hey, it was the factory battery from 2009 and it made it to 2016. That's pretty good. I love my jeep and have done MANY modifications to it. I could complain about the gas mileage, but everyone knows jeep =/= MPG. As for speed, with a lift, 33s (will be 35s when I need new tires), and stock gears I can't complain. It gets up to the speed limit quick enough for me. As for the soft top.. I generally leave mine up and just take the windows out. To me, doing all the work of taking the top down, and putting it back up (typically by myself) is a bit of a hassle. I really only do it when I know I will be leaving it down for a week or so. Generally, I go no doors and no windows, and that's fine for me. With no experience of a hard top I feel comfortable saying I wouldn't want one.

I have a 2014 soft top Wrangler Sport and I have 33" tires on it. Love the way it handles off road and even highway does great. Gas mileage is amazing on the highway, but when in city only is where it fails. I have the manual transmission and as such it does pick up quite nicely. And you are so right with the soft top, easy to take on and off. I live in Vancouver, where it is sunny but can rain at any time for an hour or so and then sun again. So the soft top is ideal. Love your videos. And keep on enjoying your jeep. 😊

I related a lot to your statements. I rented a Jeep Patriot (not even sure if they still make Patriots) BUT did I ever feel every bump I went over and it was also a slow acceleration - but like you said, that's part of the charm of having an off-road vehicle. You're not trying to get anywhere fast.

I totally get what you mean by sluggish. I have a 2011 4 door Sahara and I noticed that If I'm going up hill on certain freeways, I have to really accelerate to keep up with the flow of traffic.. I think thats the only thing that annoys me from time to time with the Jeep is that it doesn't pick up the pace as quick as other vehicles do. I also have a hardtop on my Jeep and like you said, every now and then I feel like getting a soft top would've been better or vice versa but what I really like about the hardtop is that when it comes to rain or wind, you have much noise and if one day you do decide you'd want some fresh air, you can just take the front panels off and they fit perfectly in the back. Loved the video by the way! Actually your Jeep Tour video really helped me before I had gotten my own!

Get a hard top because you can always get the soft top, but it's harder to get the hard top after the fact if you buy it with a soft top...it's more expensive. So buy it with the hard top and then buy the soft top...cheaper to do it this way. Plus, the new hardtops are easier to take off in sections and better than the older ones.

I’ve always really loved the look of jeeps, ever since I was like 8. Now I’m at the age where I’m looking into it. Right now I have a 2005 Acura MDX as it was my dads car before and I got it when he got s new car. Likely, it will either break down in the next 2 years and if not I’ll give it to my sister when she turns 16 in 2 years and I’ll get a new car. I’ll be senior/college, but I do want to go to a college about 5-6 hours from home. I want a white Jeep but I’m not sure if it would be good for me. I don’t do off roading. I own two of them! A 4 door 2015 Sahara and 2015 two doors wrangler willys wheeler, the two doors is sunrise yellow and the Sahara is all black, love them!! 👍👌✌️🌵

It is a car since the definition of car is a motor vehicle with four wheels. But people like to get really technical about saying cars vs. SUVs/trucks. So "technically" the Jeep is a truck, but most if not all people will by default refer to their vehicle as a car.

It's more of a utility vehicle then a car - not really a truck and not really an SUV. It's an original make, but also definitely not a car.

I have my Jeep with a hard top and during summer it get H O T. Like. Hot asf. Maybe it’s just mine but I live in California as well.... although the hard top does keep my Jeep warm in winter and on freeways, it isn’t super loud compared to the old soft top it came with, and I feel more safe with a hard top for some reason. :)
