This is how an unknowledgeable tow truck driver can "F" up your 4-wheel drive Jeep. In order to get all four wheels of a (2018 and above) Jeep to spin. You must put the transmission in park and the transfer case to the four-wheel drive in neutral. This will unlock all four wheels. I really hope this gets out to as many tow truck drivers as possible.

I wanted it in park, So that it would spin around, and go in the direction I wanted it to go in, not where it wanted to go. Obviously you’ve never done this line of work, or know what you’re talking about. Absolutely no damage was done that wasn’t already done in the wreck.

For the auto park Just a little cue. The passenger side door does not engage the auto park. When your able put it on neutral and get out by the passenger side.

I do that on occasion. Easier to use the shift lock release, than hope over the shifter.

If you let that sit for a couple minuets check the oil I bet they could drive it away. If they turned it off as fast as they could when it ended on it's side. Might smoke a little but that's all they're going to do at the body shop.

Great job. The fish eye on your camera was a little too much. Might have to pull the FOV back in a little. Fast moves were disorienting. I see so many operators that do not wear any safety gear. What's up with that?

I’ve since backed off on the lens settings, to correct the angle being too wide. I’ve always got on my high vis, steel toes, and gloves. That’s about all I see being necessary for what was being done.

No worries lol generally I won’t put skates down unless I really feel like I’m putting a bunch of strain on the driveline, or the customer seems uneasy about dragging it.

My mom has one of these and I've been trying to get her to drive our other vehicle because it's safer and only use the Jeep as a Sunday driver. Now the Jeep doesn't work anymore!

I’ve owned 11 different Jeeps, at least one of almost every modern model made, and I’ve never flipped or rolled one, and I’ve used mine as daily drivers, and off-road. They are a little too heavy, but they are very safe. Considering the very little damage it took, from both being hit, and sliding on its side, and the driver walking away with no injuries, I’d say it came out better than most other vehicles would have.

I prefer to work alone, there isn’t much I’d ever need a second person for other than when there is a bunch of clean up, in which case I’ll generally call in our service van. Plus the more people on scene, the more ways I have to split the call. Less money in my pocket.
