Nice YJ!! I own a 1992 myself. I think you should cut out a piece of black diamond plate to cover up the passenger door panel pocket that you cut off.

Nice jeep update ,good looking yj I have a 1990 and have the very same leak by the heater box and cant find the source but the floor mat catches the water to keep the carpet dry !

One place I’ve heard leaks is the header screws for the soft top channel on top of the windshield frame. Contemplating buying a car port instead of dealing with the leaks.

Linking problem, check the drain in the firewall engine, mines was complete full of dust, just remove it and wash it

Have you checked the air cowl There’s a drain hole in there that gets plugged with mud and will cause water to leak into cab?

Get a spray bottle and a towel. Isolate each area you spray so you can pinpoint the leak. Only way I found my washer nozzle leak

Check the washer nozzles. I had a leak at the passenger side.

What rear bumper is on your YJ? Bought a Rugged Ridge bumper and the lower frame straps won't let the holes line up....

Smittybilt Classic rear bumper. Bolt holes didn't line up well with this bumper but after opening up the holes slightly, it all went together

Get 3 inch shifter extenders. I think they are $16 bucks for 2

Just raise the motor and transmission for off road clearance. Then no extenders needed

Hello I have a 88 yj project I'm about to start on . Bought few months ago . Did the 4.0 head give you any more power and or fuel milage increase ? Appreciate the help. Spray around the windshield and area with garden hose might help find the leak.

Hello, yes the 4.0 head definitely made a difference. More power on the top and bottom end. As far as fuel mileage, I honestly haven't kept track before or after the head swap.
