I hope you enjoy the video! As you can tell, the swap is coming along good, and it’s really cool building some custom stuff! Stay tuned for the next video where we finish the front and start working on the rear! I forgot to mention it, but you can use the code JKgear at Barnes4WD and 7Slotcustoms to get a discount! Great job, guys. Definitely good to see people working on their own rigs. When you guys were working on the drag link and track bar it would have been an excellent opportunity to discuss the length and angle relationship between the two and why ideally they should be the same to minimize bumpsteer. I've read the angle should take priority over the length. I thought I saw an example worked with math to prove this, but finding it is a different story.

Would you mind DMing some close up pics of the good, bad, and ugly or upload a video about them? We just pulled the fenders off my daughters TJ and I want to see if I want tackle this project or not. I am actually redoing the suspension on my TJ right now for better flex. I have the same issue of my track bar hitting the pumpkin if I go any higher. So my question is, how far forward can I move the frame mount. I need about an inch to clear but I wasn’t sure how in line with the axle mount it had to be. I have a rubicon express frame bracket and trackbar. I know I have to make sure I clear the pitman arm.

Hey Ben how do u figure out your ride height by jacking up the axle with no tires? legit question. do you measure pumpkin distance from the ground while on wheels and just replicate that number?
@JeepGearGadgets3 жыл бұрын
Tires don’t really matter since we are looking at suspension ride height. Once you jack up the axle and the springs start to take the load, then that is the suspension ride height
