Thank you very much. Enjoyed it. Came out well. I am used to slightly less kaaram (spice-level). For readers following the recipe in the US, who have my taste inclinations, I'd suggest (a) trying just half red-chilli in the paste and (b) not adding red-chilli in the thalichu-phase

Madam, we used to do this rasam with jeera, மிளகு, and துவர பருப்பு soaked in water for few minutes and after the same is grinded well, the same is used as the main ingredient for rasam. That style also is a good one. I will try your method . Looks a new formula

In the recipe it says teaspoon for coriander seeds and split bengal gram but when you explained step by step you mentioned tablespoon for coriander seeds snd channa dhal. Can you tell us which measurement should we follow.

@@Subbuskitchenpage good mrng dear 🌞 actually we use only black pepper power with tamarind and boil adding haldi and salt after tamarind smell goes kadugu dry chilli and curry leaf fry and pour adding little ghee before that add some jeera powder to the rasam.
