I feel Jeet Kune do foot work (which is indeed taken from fencing) can be well utilized with kick boxing / Muay Thai.. to close distances and creating an opportunity for a low kick to shin or a fake kick with a hook

While going for side kick using this footwork can actually put you in trouble because if opponent try to apply forward pressure he will just move forward and because you are in such a position you will lose your balance before you execute a move

I tried this stance with my friend whenever I'm in side stance he often get the advantage of losing my balance whenever I try to executive any move

Imagine you try to play guitar, but never learned how to play it. The result would be terrible. You don't know the notes and how to play them. This is exactly the same. No proper practice, no skill.
