I'm a Christian that has watched quite a few videos of Jeff Allen. I've always enjoyed them because for once I could relax and enjoy comedy without cringing at the filth that comes forth in search of a laugh. I had not previously heard his Testimony. WOW! I'm 61. I've listened to almost all of Jeff Allen's tapes. While this one had stories I'd heard before, none of your stories had ever made me cry, until this one. Your testimony is so powerful. My husband was 3 weeks into sobriety when I met him. We married 6 months later. At 3 I didn't think we would make it if God didn't do something about my husband. He did something to me instead. We my husband died we had been married for 27 years. I was diagnosed with a terminal cancer. I wasn't expected to live past the 4 of July, and there was real doubt whether I'd make it to the 4 of July. I said when I got this prognosis, I know the statistics you're telling me. God will decide what day will be my last. I pray every day and thank God for giving me another day. Yet, I feel like I have been running away from God. I believe God heals in three ways. I'm sure there's more. The 3 ways are getting my family prepared, getting me prepared, and taking the disease away. God will let me know through my actions and His. My kids ask me what I want for Christmas. By bible didn't make the trip. (Moved from Alaska to Arkansas. Lots of stuff didn't make it.) I think I want to go back to my original version of the bible. The one that woke me up 30 years ago. Thanks for waking up my heart, through your testimony.

Wow!, Your testimony is awesome. God woke me up with the same verse and a very similar trial. ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭niv; ““Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.”” After loosing everything I ever accumulated including my marriage, God drew me near Him. By taking everything from me, He freed me from myself. Just amazing how I can completely identify with his humor & his life story. Just about every active alcoholic or addict who's found themselves asking the same questions can too. Anyone can stop drinking or using, but it takes an entire change of life to finally become clean & sober& to honestly look at your life & how you're affecting yourself-but more importantly those in our lives! Life as an addict is hell-but life WITH an addict is a hell we force upon those around us. Those we love & should care for the most suffer the greatest consequences of addiction.

Had to check it out for myself, based on some comments and was glad that I did! Found it very moving, as Jeff has a great presentation when telling jokes and life stories! Hard to imagine going thru such a dark period in your life and being able to make it back into the light and into living, once again. Would be a hoot to see or meet Jeff sometime, as his words have meaning having gone thru the gauntlet of addiction. It's sad. So many people listen to the culture of the world that tries to tell us "Do what makes you feel good because suffering is bad" and it's so prevalent nowadays with the dual blessing and curse that is the internet that more and more people every day lose sight of the fact that when we suffer it is so God can make us into even better men and women because of it. It's something I'm trying to work through myself at nearly 40 years old (and still single....will probably be single for the rest of my life and I'm coming to accept that maybe the life of a confirmed bachelor is perhaps the life God has set apart for me). It makes me so sad though....all the people going around who so desperately need something to fill that spiritual void and unfortunately is the culture of the world that has the loudest voice and is in a position to have these people constantly looking in all the wrong places for fulfillment. :(

My first time seeing Jeff was him at a church giving his testimony. The only reason I knew he was a comedian was that it was in the video title. He didn't tell jokes. He just gave his testimony. It was very moving. I shared it with my nephew, who is Assistant Pastor at our church. My nephew has a great Testimony too. From alcoholic crack addict to Pastor. After watching Jeff's testimony I came across his stuff on DryBar. The guy is hilarious. This is the fourth performance of his I've seen and all were excellent. Praise God for turning his and so many others lives around, including mine.
