I gotta be honest. As a guitarist for 30 years, I never dared to cover Jeff Beck. I wrote him off as "otherworldly;" a level to which I'd never obtain. I'm that way with SRV and Hendrix. I just don't touch them. At all. I'm a perfectionist by nature and if I can't dial in a tone mixed with a pick / fret style to within a margin I can enjoy my own playing, I don't mess with it. Have played for about 18 years now.

@Elwood.J.Blues13 Жыл бұрын
@@guanguiberno1181 It's not at all impossible lol. There is nothing particular about a specific tone he is getting from his playstyle. Flamenco, and other styles of guitar aren't what's challenging. It's the way the guitar player produces a specific tone, vibrato and tension / release. Entre dos aguas, while absolutely difficult, is only difficult in terms of how well a player moves on the fretboard. SRV and Hendrix songs, I do know, it's the way they play it to produce a specific tone that's challenging. Take Wind Cries Mary for example. It's arrangement is easy enough. It's tone is the bitch.

I think she was 24 during the crossroads festival, this song doesn't even begin to explain how good Tal is, let alone jeff and vinnie.
