Jeff’s my personal favorite guitarist, I got my first Jeff Beck album “Blow by Blow” as a young teenager because the cover looked cool I’m a drummer and Vinnie Colaiuta on the drums is so good and Tal Wickenfield on bass speaks for herself- just amazing. I said it before but Tal Wickenfield , Angeline Saris & Rhonda Smith are so incredible on the bass I remember seeing Angeline for the first time and was just blown away- and I went to see drumming Jeff Campatelli play and she was the bassist that evening. Mr Jeff Beck was so dang good He replaced Eric Clapton in the Yardbirds then Jimmy Page replaced Jeff Beck in that band.

Geoffrey Arnold Beck was an English guitarist. He rose to prominence as a member of the rock band the Yardbirds,cheers young ladies .

One of my favorite versions of Jeff's later bands....Vinnie Colaiuta (Frank Zappa Alumnus) on drums and the AMAZING Taj Wilkenfeld on bass....Was fortunate enough to see Jeff live....got tickets for $25 at the door...

Jeff Beck | Big Block !!!! LOL This is not the version I sent you. i was asking for the 2007 crossroads version. But you can see Tal (Bass) watching him and smiling. He doesn't do it the same so that's why she is watching and she has said that he was always joking around. I love to watch the interactions between them. No . she is not his daughter but everybody thought so for a while. To audition. She had flown in and spent the night in a hospital recovering from food poisoning from the flight. Then she was driven 3 hours out to his country estate. Jeff thought it was a joke when she showed up at his door to audition for the 2007 tour. He quickly realized her talent and started comparing her to one of the greats.

I haven't seen this version, all I've seen is the crossroads version and I love Tal's facial 😊⁹ŕexpressions on that one, but it's also so cool to hear Jeff playing it so differently here.

I was lucky enough to see Jeff several times, the last two with my adult daughter. She had been forced to listen to the very CD that accompanied this video when I was driving her to school years ago. And she grew to love it. We last saw him just a few months before his tragic death. It's great to share music amongst generations, as you well know! Someone suggested "Going Down", and that would be a good choice for a follow-up. It's from a much younger Jeff, not that age ever seemed to constrain his playing. He got better.

Jeff used to play in the same band with Led Zeppelin's lead guitarist Jimmy Page in the rock band The Yard Birds. The female bass player (Tal Wilkenfeld) is from Austailia. She is in high demand all over the world. Many of the great muscians want her in their band..She's easily one of the best bass players in the world. RIP Jeff. PS this track (Big Block) is from 1989 on Jeff Beck's album Guitar Shop .

Jeff Beck's my favorite guitarist. He was capable of playing the most articulate, beautiful, singing voice-like music and then the next moment or song make the rudest funnest rock n roll noises ever. His style was totally unique, maybe the most unique rock guitarist ever. Long career. You could listen to any song from this concert, live at Ronny Scott's, was a great show. To hear some older classics try: Ain't Superstitious, Beck's Bolero (original studio record from 1966?), I'd go with Blue Wind and Scatterbrain from the Live w/ Jan Hammer album, Good Bye Pork Pie Hat (studio version, Wired), there's dozen's a great songs & versions over the decades. Goin' Down from the Jeff Beck Group orange album is fun.

There's a group called the Yardbirds from the 60's and 70's . They were blessed to have 3 of the top ranked Guitarists start in the band . Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page

Jeff Beck ... Tal Wilkenfeld. The 2007 tour with Jeff was her big break. It was the drummer Vinnie that recommended her. Jeff and his wife took her in (sort of, it is a long drive out to his estate were the band rehearsed) and Jeff became her mentor and started treating her like a daughter. It hit her hard when he died. She was off of her social media for a while.She has gone on to play with many of the greats and recorded a couple of albums of her own.

On the 1968 album by Jeff called TRUTH, there is a more normal song called I AIN'T SUPERSTITIOUS with singer Rod Stewart!! ✔️ It Out!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎

I would recommend a sweet cut from Live at Ronnie Scotts that's entitled Where Were You? It has the same vibe as Cause We Ended as Lovers and really illustrates once more how Jeff Beck sang through his guitar playing.

A great song that gives you a two for one deal is People Get Ready with Rod Stewart on vocals. It's on Jeff Becks album Flash. There's an official music video you could react to , think you ladies would really enjoy that song.

Good catch on Tal's "stank face" during Beck's performance. He was a musical father figure for her. In answer to your question about how he gets his guitar to sound like it does? It's all in his hands, as other great guitarists have said.

The bassist Tal Wilkenfeld said about Jeff' Beck, “I think it's more of a… a chemistry that happens when people are connected. And I can't explain why or how, I just know when it's happening. And that connection that I have with him is one that I've never had with anybody else. And I sit here and wonder if I will ever have that with anybody else. Jan 26, 2023

The incomparable Jeff Beck , besides being a guitar hero , was also a hot rod enthusiast, even going so far as to do all of his own work when possible . If he couldn't buy a specific car for his collection, he'd build an accurate clone of it , including a American Graffiti '32 Ford coupe replica . The term " big block " is in reference to a large cubic inch engine , such as a 427 or 454 Chevy Rat Motor . Or a 426 or 440 Dodge / Plymouth engine . Besides being in the Yard irds as was already mentioned , he did a stint in the early seventies with the late Tim Bogert and Carine Appice formerly of Vanilla Fudge ( ask Chad ) , anyway they played as Beck / Bogert and Appice , with Tim on bass and Carmine on drums .

Pls react to Survivor's "High On You" and Toto's "I'll Be Over You". I've been requesting these songs for the past 3 months. Long overdue. Many channels on KZbin are neglecting reacting to Survivor. They're a massive band.
