Jeff Beck Gets Great Sounds , out Of Any guitar He plays !!!!
@grundid448 жыл бұрын
I saw Jeff at the Shrine during the same tour. If you can believe it, that performance was even better than this. As my friend remarked on his way out, "Nobody's that good." I also saw him at the Swing Auditorium with the previous band, and that was amazing in a totally different way. He had Max, Cozy, and the Puerto Rican kid on bass playing his ass off on Going Down, but what Jeff managed to do on that song will stay with me forever. Way, way ahead of his time, or at least everyone else. Thank God for giving us Jeff, especially during these times. It helps to take our minds off the vulgarity of the world, and reminds me that really fine people still exist.

I was at that show! Probably the best guitar performance I've ever seen, and I've seen so many. Even Beck himself has referred to that tour as riding a wave that may have been the best of his life. We were lucky to have seen it. It certainly changed my life.

He was among the best on the orange album, then from Blow by by blow on if he wasn't the best, he was the only one who could produce the sounds that his guitar made. He was still innovative til the end.

This is pretty damn cool. I don't think anybody could be in a bad mood after listening to this unless they wanted to.... Thanks for posting.

I was there too. It was Aug 31, 1976. The version of Freeway Jam they played that night appears on the Live Jeff Beck Jan Hammer LP.

Fucking incredible tone- my life is one long frustrated attempt to be Jeff Beck. Ain't gonna happen. Oh well. And I wish I could hear Purdie and Walter more, but this is a bootleg.
