Jeff Beck is great, and he is recognized for it. Tom Jones is the greatest, with near zero recognition from the music world.

How these two never did a blues studio album and toured behind it is beyond my comprehension

How frigg’n good was that? The amazing Jeff Beck along with Sir Tom just knocked that way out of the park. I’ve never heard that before but it’s fantastic. Tom’s still with us and still sounds terrific in his 83 rd year and we, unfortunately, just lost Jeff. Not to leave out the other musicians performing on this particular piece. Well done all.👍👍🇨🇦

This is the direct result of men who did not care who hated this kind of music, they loved it so much they based their entire career on the celebration of the underclasses ART. How about that? One has to ask why America still dislikes people who dont look like them. My mother loved these guys and now I have the same taste........Thanks Mother

Para mí, es uno de los Blues mejores que he escuchado en mi vida. El dueto Jeff Beck & Tom Jones es para arrancarse la cabellera (en el mejor de los sentidos, claro).

Great cover, honors the original, takes it someplace new without getting crazy. And Jeff channels Hubert beautifully.

I'd guess you're right, but I have the DVD and don't think this is in the feature or the extras. No video available? - would love to see how in the solo Beck is switching between LH fingers and slide so seamlessly.
@DoodlesMusic5 жыл бұрын
Jeff uses the wangy bar to emulate the slide - plenty of videos on youtube of him doing this kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqDaq2qdi8qWoKc

I never understood why Jeff B.- Jimmy Page- Eric C. wouldn't hit the Road with Steve Winwood, Paul Rogers and Tom Jones to renew a British Invasion 2.0? Oh What Fun that would be...

Mr. Lesini, where do you find all the killer stuff you come up with. Love it ,Love it ,Love it. Don't want to start any arguments but Jeff Beck has been my guitar god since his first USA tour as the Jeff Beck Group back in the 60s, he had this cool singer at the time from a Brit group called SteampacketGreat stuff.
@elbecko79693 жыл бұрын
No arguments from me!! I wonder what became of that Steampacket singer. I heard he was considering playing for Celtic.

@zeleniouszeleniou67667 жыл бұрын
bon he's Jeff Beckk he can do anything his fingers are magic
@MarttiSuomivuori6 жыл бұрын
You get pretty close to this sound when on the Strat you use the bridge pickup, turn the trebles down all the way and add distortion to taste. Rest is up to your fingers.
@keithmendez69154 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure he's using a wah wah pedal-- kind of cocked like a filter rather than sweeping it back and forth
@motherlessblues15654 жыл бұрын
Jeff is using a Klone pedal & he is a technical wizard & very sharp with his fingers.
@BernieOliver2 жыл бұрын
Tom missed his true calling.

He didn't. You've just missed out on the many bluesy songs he's done. Everything from "Is The Bluebird Blue" to "Cry To Me."
