true, i can't think of many other casting choices for an iconic character in a movie tbh, like maybe Leo for Wolf of Wallstreet, or Jack Nicholson in Shining. Shoutout also to Tom Hardy for his role in Bronson, a very underrated performance in my opinion. Now you could ofc always go with Stallone for Rambo or Rocky, or Arnie for Terminator, Bruce Willis for the Die Hards but those became iconic more because of the type of movie they were in not because their acting was particularly masterful in itself.

I'd say the majority of the famous people I waited on were down to earth but both Jeff and Beau were so natural and kind...normal guys. Jeff acted exactly how he is in this video in real life. I don't care what anyone says, it's a nearly perfect sequel. The writing is amazing. I can feel the sadness and I betrayed feeling in CLU. I can feel the understanding and guilt in Flynn. I remember seeing Starman and being impressed with it, for the same reason that I appreciated Enemy Mine. Both are great love stories, with the idea being that love transcends species. It's also similar to Powder: both are about an exceptional person who conveys something mystical and elevates those around him.

Actors ACT. It's what they do. They spend their entire professional lives pretending to be something or someone they are NOT. So I'm always very reluctant to form any hard opinions about what kind of person an actor is by their interviews. But there's just *something* about Jeff Bridges that burns right through all that an convinces me at a fundamental level that what we see here is exactly what we get! As brilliant an actor as Mr. Bridges is, I really do not think he's so good that he could convey such profound decency if it weren't there.

Jeff Bridges is possibly the most loveable actor alive. Not just handsome or attractive (which aren't exactly the same thing -- live in L.A. for a while and you'll come across any number of handsome, unattractive people), but fully loveable, because you get the sense that he's filled with love and that just brings it out of you and everyone around him. It's always amazing to me that Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges raised a family in the midst of the weird, often toxic environment of Hollywood and did it so well.
